Delawarr Cottage is a beautifully renovated holiday home in the charming Georgian town of Lymington. It's set back from a quiet country lane yet still within walking distance of the town centre, its historic quay, and plentiful amenities, giving you the best of both peace and convenience. The holiday cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms and suits couples, families or friends, with space that encourages socialising and restful bedrooms where you can appreciate your privacy. A lovely garden with an area for outdoor dining in warm weather rounds off the rest of this wonderful cottage, whose location is ideal for you to explore both the Hampshire coast and the spectacular New Forest National Park.
Lymington is sandwiched neatly between the Solent and the New Forest. It's understandably popular with holidaymakers who want to explore both places, putting you within easy reach of miles of cycling routes and footpaths, as well as giving you the options for swimming, sailing, kayaking, fishing and paddle boarding. You can be as active or as lazy as you choose, spending one day cycling between towering redwoods and past centuries-old oak trees in the New Forest, and the next sitting by Lymington Quay with an ice cream, admiring the waterfront view, and people-watching.
Local attractions include the Lymington Sea Water Baths with an inflatable obstacle course and SUPs as well as room to swim and paddle. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and Paulton's Park (Peppa Pig World) deliver jam-packed days of family-fun. If you want to tire the kids out, walk across the mile-long Hurst Spit, admiring views over the Solent to the Needles on the Isle of Wight as you go. Spend a few hours at Hurst Castle - part Tudor fortress and part WWII museum, then walk or take one of the small ferries back. There are regular ferries from Lymington to the Isle-of-Wight. The trip only takes around 30 minutes and you can go by car or foot-passenger, taking a bicycle to help you explore. You can hire bicycles, SUPs and kayaks locally if you don't have one.
Delawarr Cottage is available all year round for bookings.
