Foxglove is a beautiful country holiday cottage on the family-run Michelmersh Manor Farm near Romsey in Hampshire. It sleeps four people in two double bedrooms and is as comfortable for couples as for families. There are hints to the age of the cottage throughout, including gorgeous original oak beams in the bedrooms upstairs. It can be booked independently or as part of a bigger house to accommodate up to 10 people in five bedrooms - ideal if you're searching for quiet group accommodation for a holiday with your extended family or friends. Michelmersh Manor Farm is on the edge of Michelmersh village. In addition to a herd of 300 dairy cows, some horses and chickens, the owners have a flock of around 200 sheep. It's an excellent opportunity to introduce kids to the charms of country life, especially during lambing time in early spring when the flock virtually doubles with frolicking bundles of fluff, and children can bottle feed the lambs and calves. While it's never silent on a farm with so many animals, you won't be bothered by passing traffic as the farm is at the end of a country lane. The owners sell their freshly pasteurised milk by the litre, and you can quickly get any other food and self-catering supplies you need a few miles away in Romsey.
This area is a joy to explore in any season. The farm has great access to beautiful footpaths going through woodland carpeted with fragrant bluebells in spring. The Test Way and Monarch Way are easily accessible, and there is a wide variety of country lanes, bridleways and off-road trails for mountain bikers and cyclists to use. A favourite route goes beside the River Test, where you may see anglers fishing for brown trout. Golf and horseriding are also popular activities with locals and visitors.
The location of Foxglove Cottage is ideal for enjoying the New Forest National Park and the historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury. The Hampshire coastline and beaches like Milford-on-Sea are around a 40-minute drive, as is Stonehenge. Other attractions for a day out include Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World, Highclere Castle, Marwell Zoo, the Army Air Museum, and the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu House.

Foxglove is a lovely cottage with accommodation over two levels. It is family-friendly, with stairgates at the top and bottom of the stairs and a cot and highchair available on request.

Outside: Guests of Foxglove have shared use of the games room with snooker, table football, table tennis and darts. There is off-street parking and secure storage for bicycles.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Please note that Foxglove is fed from a private water supply. A travel cot and a highchair are available, with guests bringing cot bedding if required. Smoking is not permitted.
