Hangley Cottage is a comfortable holiday home sleeping 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Perched 1250 feet high on the moors and surrounded by 900 acres of private grounds, the semi-detached cottage is nicely tucked away at the end of the main estate driveway and provides the perfect spot for a relaxing and peaceful self-catering break. Marvel at the spectacular views from the front and back garden as you enjoy an evening BBQ or leisurely morning coffee, or simply sit back with a good book and enjoy the vast open skies. Guests are also welcome to explore the estate. Take a gentle stroll through the grounds, enjoy a picnic overlooking the unspoiled views of Exmoor National Park or enjoy a paddle in the babbling brooks. There is even a tennis court that guests can use too.
Walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with the huge number of footpaths and biking trails on the doorstep. If you want to try something a bit different you can hire an E-bike just 5 minutes away, or enjoy a pony trek across the moors. Children will love attractions such as Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo and Quince Honey Farm, whilst adventure seekers can try their hand at coasteering in Porlock or sailing and paddleboarding at Wimbleball Lake. The charming coastal town of Lynmouth is the perfect spot to get your fix of sea air. Watch the boats bobbing up and down in the harbour whilst you enjoy fish and chips and don't forget to take a trip on the infamous cliff railway to the Victorian village of Lynton nestled 500 feet up the cliff!

Outside: As well as a garden with stunning views, outdoor seating and BBQ, Hangley Cottage sits within 900 acres of private estate. There are rare breed chickens in the courtyard as well as traditional stables. The tennis court is available for guests to use throughout the year. Off-road parking for two cars at the front of the cottage with further parking available, along with a garage for bike storage.
Additional Information: Utilities, sheets and towels are provided. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. Starter baskets of firewood are left next to the fire and can be replenished for a fee onsite. There is no mobile phone signal so you will need to log on to the Wifi to use your phone. The Wifi is a satellite provision which is generally okay (the owners do video conference calls without issue) but it can be temperamental at times. Two dogs are very welcome downstairs (additional fees apply). Stabling is available on site. Please contact the owners to discuss. Hangley Cottage can be booked alongside the main residence at Emmetts on Exmoor to accommodate larger groups. Flexible changeover but Saturday is preferred.
