Springfield Linney is a beautiful countryside escape. The North Devon self-catering cottage boasts uninterrupted views over fields towards the Taw and Torridge estuaries, a hot-tub and two very comfortable bedrooms that can sleep up to four people. The owners have transformed a former farm building into a light-filled, contemporary space that is perfect for couples, families or friends.
The cottage is a short drive or a relaxing bike ride from Barnstaple, making it ideally located for exploring both the North Devon coast and countryside. Barnstaple is a vibrant town with lots of places to eat, drink and shop - including their historic indoor Pannier market - as well as a full calendar of fun events that makes it an excellent year-round destination.
You will always find something fun to do, regardless of the time of year you visit. North Devon beaches including Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe are only a 20-minute drive from the door, while Westward Ho! and Ilfracombe are not much further. The fantastic Tarka Trail is a family-friendly walking and cycling route with miles of traffic-free paths offering breathtaking views. With the beautiful Exmoor National Park and the Devon Coast Path both within easy reach, you won't run out of space in a hurry!
Local attractions include Marwood Gardens, The Big Sheep and Exmoor Zoo. Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is always a hit with children. At the same time, the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railways still impresses visitors with its simple engineering genius more than a century after it opened. Watermouth Castle theme park is a family-friend attraction open between Easter and October, or visit Arlington Court and the carriage Museum, or a National Trust property like Watersmeet House.
At the end of a fun-packed day, relax in the hot tub with a glass of something cold, or curl up in front of the log burner and enjoy the quiet joy of knowing that you can do it all again tomorrow.

Outside: The cottage has a private enclosed garden mainly laid to lawn. There is a paved patio area with garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. There is off street parking for two cars.
Additional information: All utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests to supply cot bedding, and towels for the beach or hot tub if required. One dog is welcome for a surcharge and through prior arrangement. Smoking is not permitted. Short breaks are possible outside of peak season, depending on availability.
