Talland Croft is a delight. The light and spacious five bedroom house sleeps up to six adults with ease, making it ideal for families and friends who want to holiday together while still enjoying their own space and privacy. The cottage is on a quiet residential street in the popular village of Crantock, five miles west of Newquay. From the house, you can walk to the Old Albion Inn and The Cornishman pub in five to ten minutes, or to The Bowgie overlooking Crantock Beach in fifteen to twenty minutes. There is an excellent village shop for your essentials, and as Trevilley Farm Shop is nearby selling a wide range of locally produced food and wine, there is absolutely no reason for you to have a bad meal during your stay!
Crantock Beach is less than a mile from Talland Croft. Popular with families for its wide expanse of sand and the rockpools exposed at low tide, it shelters between Pentire and West Pentire headlands. Crantock Beach is only a few miles from Newquay, but its lack of crowds make it feel a peaceful world away. Other beaches to visit include Fistral Beach, Porth Joke Beach, Holywell Bay and Towan Beach. Lusty Glaze Beach is a must-visit not only for its name, but also for its adventure centre where you can surf, waterski, abseil, ride a banana boat, or play beach games.
If the weather is not great or you want a break from sun, sea and sand, stay inland and explore some of Cornwall’s beautiful towns and villages including St Ives and St Agnes, both of which are easily accessible by car from Talland Croft. The Eden Project is less than an hour away, as is Falmouth. Staying at Talland Croft is perfect for enjoying both the Cornish coast and countryside at your leisure.
Whether you want a traditional bucket-and-spade holiday complete with sandcastles and ice-cream, to spend your days on the golf course and your evenings sampling local ales, are challenging yourself to walk as many coast and country miles as possible, or you simply can’t think of anything more enjoyable than visiting National Trust properties and finding the perfect Cornish cream tea, Talland Croft is precisely the Cornwall cottage you’re looking for.

Talland Croft is a light, inviting space with ample room for up to 10 adults. It has a contemporary interior with an open plan living and dining area that encourages guests to socialise and spend time together, and large bedrooms where they can enjoy their own space.

There are four further bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs.
Outside: The large enclosed garden is accessible via the utility room. It is laid to lawn and features a paved area with barbecue, chiminea and garden furniture. There is off-street parking for three cars with further parking being available on the road.
Additional Information: Talland Croft is dog-friendly with up to two well-behaved dogs being welcome with prior agreement from the owner. WiFi and utilities are included in the price, and the property has central heating. Logs are available to purchase from the owner. Bed linen and towels are also included, though guests are asked to bring their own beach towels. Short breaks are possible depending on availability. Talland Croft is a no smoking property.
