Kittiwake Cottage sleeps four guests in two en-suite bedrooms and is ideally placed in a peaceful setting tucked away in the quiet back roads of Braunton, a pretty yet vibrant village close to the North Devon coastline. Stylish and beautifully presented throughout, this superb barn conversion is furnished and equipped to a high standard to provide an exceptionally comfortable and welcoming retreat all year round.
Ideally placed in a picturesque Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Kittiwake Cottage is within easy reach of Devon's most popular beaches and just five minutes drive from Saunton and Croyde providing miles of sands to relax, play and enjoy water sports. Braunton Burrows is closer to home (within walking distance of the cottage) and famous for having the country's largest sand dune system. Braunton village itself also has much appeal with small shops to stock up on provisions and a good choice of places for enjoying a meal out.
The area has much appeal for outdoor lovers. Walkers can explore the miles of coastal paths and moorland or for something a little more gentle, a stroll along the estuary. Horse riders can make their dreams come true and ride along the beach and golfers don't have far to travel with Saunton Sands Golf Course just five minutes from the cottage. Another popular way of exploring the area is by bike. Cyclists can easily access the Traka Trail from Braunton where you can take a traffic-free journey to Barnstaple or further for those who want to explore more of the one hundred and sixty three mile route. A great way to take in the pretty villages of Ilfracombe and Lynmouth (to name just two) and some of Devon's top pubs en-route!
For fun family days out, the younger ones are sure to enjoy a trip to The Big Sheep, Exmoor Zoo and Watermouth Castle - just a few of the nearby attractions, along with National Trust houses and gardens.
Whatever time of year you visit, Kittiwake Cottage is an ideal base for visiting the areas many attractions, partaking in a host of outdoor activities or simply enjoying lazy days on the golden sands.
