Cheltenham Chase is a beautiful big holiday house in the Cotswolds. It comfortably sleeps 24 guests and is only three miles from restaurants, boutiques and Cheltenham's famous racecourse, so it's perfect for a glamorous hen weekend, accommodating bridesmaids and wedding guests, or a family reunion. Although only three miles from the Georgian town of Cheltenham, the light-filled contemporary interiors have a sleek, modern vibe that wouldn't feel out of place in California's Malibu or Big Sur. With strategic use of colour and funky artwork, the owners have created a self-catering property that appeals to all ages. Every detail has been chosen, from the calm bedrooms to the games room, indoor pool, and landscaped gardens, to encourage guests to relax and have fun.

Cheltenham is a short drive or a leisurely country walk west of Cheltenham Chase. It's a beautiful spa town between the Cotswolds AONB and historic Gloucester, with elegant Regency buildings speaking of its popularity as a destination for those with money and taste. Cheltenham's boutiques and high street shops provide plenty of outfit inspiration for an evening enjoying its bars and restaurants, including those with Michelin stars. The four-day Cheltenham festival is an annual highlight of the National Hunt calendar, and the area is home to some of the nation's top breeders and trainers. Plan your holiday around a day at the races or drive 25 minutes south to Cirencester and one of the country's most prestigious polo clubs.

Explore the towns and villages that make the Cotswolds a year-round favourite holiday spot. Upper and Lower Slaughter are two of the most photographed villages in the country, as is Bourton-on-the-Water. Local attractions include the Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens and Slimbridge, and Westonbirt Arboretum. Cheltenham Chase is a contemporary holiday home at the end of a gated driveway with all the space and privacy you desire.

Downstairs:

  • A light-filled sitting room has garden views and glass doors opening on the terrace. Comfortable seating, soft throws and cushions, and glass interior doors mean you can use the room as a quiet space to watch TV or film or as an open space linking the social and outdoor areas.
  • Two long dining tables arranged in a T-shape provide space for everyone to dine together in the dining room, as with the sitting room, bifold glass doors open to the barbecue and party area outside.
  • Cook together or hire an external caterer to fill the fridge with prepared meals. However you keep your guests fed, the fantastic kitchen attracts them like a magnet, and you'll find yourself relaxing over a casual breakfast, snacks, and a cup of tea.
  • Keep laundry and cleaning facilities hidden but close to hand in the separate utility room.
  • A snug/games room is the ultimate place to kick back and unwind over a game of pool or chess. Glass doors slide open to the indoor swimming pool, from which you can reach the ping pong room.
  • There is a double and two single beds in the family/quad room.
  • A triple/family room has a double and a single bed with views over the lawn.
  • The two downstairs bedrooms have a nearby WC and use of the pool shower or a short trip up the stairs to the family bathroom.

Upstairs:

  • Two bedrooms are only accessible via the snug/games room and can be used as a family suite. One room has a super king-sized bed, while the other has four single beds. The bathroom has a bath, shower, WC and a handbasin.
  • The largest bedroom features a super king-sized and a single bed, and an ensuite bathroom.
  • There are two twin ensuite rooms, each with two single beds and a bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.
  • Two other two rooms share a family bathroom.

Outside: A wide patio with a barbecue and furniture is ideal for dining outdoors in warm weather. Bifold doors give access to the indoor swimming pool and the dining room. The lawn is big enough for games in the acre garden.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests need to bring towels to use by the pool and charcoal for the barbecue. Please enquire with the owner if you wish to bring dogs (extra charge). Hen parties are allowed but stag weekends are by arrangement only.
