About The Granary

The Granary is a sweet Cotswold holiday cottage in the popular village of Broadway. Tucked away behind a sister cottage, The Old Grocery, with a private courtyard garden perfect for breakfast on a sunny morning, the Cotswold stone property was originally a storeroom for the village shop. Transformed in a bijou holiday home in 2012, it's just right for couples or individuals who want to stay close to some of the region's best walks and attractions without sacrificing peace and privacy. Being on High Street means you're within a few minute's stroll of Broadway's excellent tea shops, boutiques, and pubs.

Broadway is a stunning gem within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty earning it the nickname of "Jewel of the Cotswolds". The Granary stands amongst other Cotswold stone cottages, glowing warmly against the picturesque landscape to offer a warm welcome in all seasons. This charming village is a favourite among walkers on the renowned Cotswold Way, which connects Bath to Chipping Campden. You needn't venture far to appreciate the captivating wolds and vibrant countryside surrounding Broadway. With gorgeous horse chestnut trees and a preserved scene that feels like a page from a Regency romance, a leisurely walk down Broadway High Street is a truly enchanting experience.

Opting for Broadway as your self-catering holiday base offers numerous benefits; it's conveniently located near popular attractions, including stunning National Trust sites and exquisite gardens like Snowshill, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, and Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park. Perfectly formed, this pocket-sized cottage is as romantic as it comes.

Downstairs:

  • Timber floors and painted beams are a feature of the ground floor. There's a comfy sofa for snuggling in front of the Bio -Ethanol burning stove and Sky Glass TV.
  • The kitchen is small but very well equipped for simple self-catering. The owners have made great use of every inch of space to include all of the plates, utensils and necessary cooking equipment.

Upstairs:

  • Climb the stairs to the cosy bedroom under the eaves. The bed features high-quality linen, and bath towels are also provided.
  • A modern bathroom has a corner shower, WC and a hand basin.

Outside: The private gravelled courtyard garden has a table, chairs and a parasol. It's the perfect suntrap!

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Smoking is not allowed. Well behaved dogs are permitted, subject to addition fee of £35 per dog, max 2 dogs.
