Mutton Barn is a charming barn conversion with a wood-fired Hot tub that provides luxurious holiday accommodation for up to ten guests in four bedrooms (two are ensuite). The barn boasts a wonderful rural location and affords breathtaking views over Warwickshire's spectacular rolling countryside. A haven for wildlife, Mutton Barn offers the chance to get away from it all amongst nature with owls and Muntjac deer amongst the regular visitors to the garden.
Located in an idyllic rural hamlet, Mutton Barn provides a peaceful retreat from which to explore the area or simply relax and unwind. Sitting high on top of Alne Hills, its gate opens directly on to the Heart of England Way with one hundred miles of footpath to explore. If that is not enough, the Arden Way crosses just a few hundred yards away and provides a further twenty six miles of spectacular scenery to explore. The setting is perfect, flanked on the west by Alne Wood with its beautiful canopy of ancient oaks and vibrant carpet of bluebells during the spring.
The delightful ancient Roman market town of Alcester is just four miles away. A true architectural gem, it offers plenty of independent shops, along with pubs and restaurants. Just seven miles away is Stratford upon Avon with a host of attractions. Set on the banks of the River Avon, this beautiful town is steeped in history and culture. The birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford upon Avon is a popular tourist destination and home to the world famous Royal Shakespeare company with its theatres. The town boasts a good selection of shops and leisure facilities and plenty of eating establishments to suit all tastes.
Centrally positioned, Mutton Barn provides an ideal base for exploring the many attractions that Central England has to offer including Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. Within easy reach are the beautiful Cotswold villages of Broadway, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh and the historic towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Warwick famous for its tea rooms, antique shops and magnificent medieval castle. There are many lovely National Trust houses and gardens locally including Charlecote Park, Hidcote Manor Garden, Packwood House, Upton House, Baddesley Clinton and Coughton Court. Birmingham city centre with its restaurants, stylish shopping malls and Symphony Hall, is only twenty minutes by train and the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) is twenty miles by car.
You will be spoilt for choice with things to see and do in the area including gardens, water parks, castles, museums, arboretums, fabulous walks, boat hire, golf, hot air ballooning, horse riding, farmers markets, country pubs, gastro pubs and restaurants, clay pigeon shooting and much more. If you enjoy a day at the races, you also have Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and prestigious Cheltenham race course nearby.

Recently refurbished Mutton Barn offers a high standard of holiday accommodation which comfortably accommodates up to ten guests but also lends itself well to smaller parties of two to four (a discount rate is offered all year round for parties of under 5).

Outside: There is a private securely fenced garden and terrace with with a wood-fired Hot tub, outdoor furniture and BBQ providing a great place to un-wind amongst the spectacular scenery (keep your eyes open for the resident owls and deer that visit to feed from the bird table!). There is a separate out-building for safe storage of bikes and leisure equipment and off-road parking.
Additional information: The owners welcome short breaks all year round starting on a Friday (3 night weekend breaks) or a Monday (4 night mid-week breaks). Discounts available for smaller group of two to four guests. An initial supply of logs is included and additional supplies are available to purchase if required. Gas central heating throughout and included in the price along with bed linen, towels and electricity. One medium sized dog or two small well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement with the owner at the time of booking (additional charges apply). A stair gate is provided so that dogs can be kept on the ground floor and they must not be left un-attended in the property at any time. Champagne, chocolates or flowers can be arranged on your behalf for arrival (please speak to the owner regarding prices). A welcome basket is provided upon arrival.
