Poppy is a very family-friendly cottage on Webbington Farm in rural Somerset. It sleeps up to seven people in three bedrooms with space for a cot and has a layout that is also comfortable for friends or multi-generational families. Guests have use of enclosed gardens, a children's play area and an indoor games room, and can also book to use the spa facilities at the luxury Webbington Hotel & Spa only a short stroll from the cottage.
Whatever the weather, there's always something fun to do when you stay at Webbington Farm. Being part of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) allows for stunning views and there's a wide network of footpaths and cycling routes by which you can explore. A favourite walk for locals and visitors is to the summit of Crook Peak which is the highest point of the Mendips and only a mile from the cottage. Brean, Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are all under half an hour's drive away, so bring your bucket and space and head for the coast on a sunny day. Excellent road links make it simple to reach Bristol (including Bristol Airport - just 15-minutes away) or Bath for a day of shopping and sightseeing. Glastonbury is 16 miles and around a 30-minute drive for you to see the famous abbey and tor. Other local attractions include Wells Cathedral, Cheddar Gorge, Brunton, Frome and Bristol Zoo's Wild Place Project. Go shopping at Cribbs Causeway or even visit Stonehenge - it's all possible from Webbington Farm.
The lovely barn conversion is one of four self-catering properties on-site which sleep up to 30 people when booked together. The location is perfect if you're looking for somewhere with lots nearby to keep the kids amused, you're planning a family reunion or celebrating a milestone birthday, or you need a venue to host a team-building or residential workshop. When booked alongside the other holiday homes as a large group booking, guests staying at Poppy have the use of the on-site party room with bar and hot tub. Outside: Poppy has a terrace with a table, chairs and a parasol out the front. Guests have use of the large enclosed gardens, games room and children's play area. There is off-street parking.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. Guests to supply beach towels and cot bedding if they are required. Short breaks are possible outside of peak season (2-night minimum stay except 3-nights in Summer/Easter/Christmas). All cottages have a radio/alarm clock/iPod. Webbington Hotel and Spa is within strolling distance where you can book to use the indoor leisure facilities (including a pool, sauna, steam room and gym) and tennis courts. Farm tours available. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
