Set in the foothills of the picturesque Cambrian Mountains, in an outstanding tranquil, rural location, The Cottage at Cefn Coch Farm provides an ideal holiday retreat from which to explore this stunning area of West Wales. Formally a stone barn that was not used, this holiday cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and now offers welcoming holiday accommodation set amongst spectacular countryside - the perfect place to relax in a beautiful setting and ideal for family holidays, a romantic break for two or for couples wanting to holiday together.
The cottage can be found approximately a mile from Glaspwll, a small hamlet near Machynlleth, sitting above the Llyfnant Valley. It is off the beaten trail and located on a farm track which leads to nowhere so the only passing traffic you will see is the occasional tractor or horse on the bridlepath!
There is plenty to see and do in this lovely area. Machynlleth is a market town where you can stock up on provisions (just a short distance away) and the beaches at Aberdovey, Ynyslas and Borth are too within easy driving distance for those who want a day by the sea. Ynys Hir RSPB reserve is also nearby, as are Steam Railways (including Tallylyn, Rheidol Valley and Corris), the Centre for Alternative Technology, trails for mountain bikers, King Arthur's Labyrinth and so much more!
The cottage is available for full weeks throughout the year and is ideal for a winter break having oil-fired central heating and a cosy wood-burner to curl up in front of on those more chilly nights. Short breaks are also available in the quieter months.
Please note: Children must be supervised at all times if under the age of eight as there are many fast flowing streams. One well behaved pet is welcome in The Cottage but unfortunately can not be accepted in The Barn. Guests are asked to kindly smoke outside the property.

The Cottage sleeps four guests and offers accommodation split over two floors in a wonderful location. It benefits from full oil-fired under floor central heating, fluffy duvets, crisp linens, instant hot water and a cosy wood-burning stove, making it ideal for summer holidays or winter breaks.
Outside: There is a sitting area with outdoor furniture, barbecue and lighting, providing the perfect place for alfresco dining where you can relax and enjoy this beautiful location. There is also a parking area for up to three cars.
