MEADOW VIEW BRECON. take a look at our new website. Meadowviewbrecon where we have a choice of 2 cottages. A traditional Welsh longhouse farmhouse that sleeps 2 to 10 guests in five bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.. And Arch Cottage our 2 bedroom 1 bathroom converted stable with log fire which sleeps 2 /3 person (prices show for 2 person 3rd person supplement) for that romantic getaway or friends on a walking holiday requiring a bedroom each.
We welcome guests who are working in the area too.
Together our cottages are suitable for larger groups .We Can sleep upto 13 when renting both cottages together. 10 singles. This 16th Century farmhouse or the converted Stable. offers comfortable, well equipped accommodation that is ideal for a reunion of friends or family, team building events, anniversary and birthday celebrations and can accommodate groups of five to eight singles. Upto 10 Singles if both cottages rented together.
Situated on a working farm on the edge of Llanspyddid, a village in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the farmhouse is just one mile from the market town of Brecon. It is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts with lots of space for safe parking. And a large lawned area for relaxing or playing.
With a cosy open fire, many original features, central heating and an enclosed lawned area with furniture and BBQ, this is an ideal retreat all year round.
The area offers a host of outdoor activities to enjoy including mountain biking (bikes can be hired locally and delivered), canoeing, wonderful walks, cycling along the Brecon-Monmouth Canal, horse riding, abseiling and gorge walking to name just a few.
Surrounded by fields, the farmhouse is a haven for wildlife with rabbits, foxes, hares and badgers in abundance, along with bird life such as pheasants, red kite and buzzards soaring up above. Mynydd Illtyd, a short walk away, is a perfect place to enjoy a peaceful picnic, popular with artists who love to paint the views and photographers wanting to capture their beauty.
For those who want to explore the area, this is an ideal base with many attractions and interesting places to visit. These include: Brecon Beacons mountains. Black Mountains, Sugar loaf, Dragons back, Hendryd Waterfalls, Ref kite feeding stations, Ellan Valley reservoirs. Crickhowell, Hay on Wye.
Castell Coch, a relatively modern fairytale castle; Dinefwr Park and Newton House owned by the National Trust; Brecon Mountain Railway where you can enjoy the wonderful scenery under the power of steam; Dragonfly Cruises on the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal; The National Showcave Centre for Wales and the Brecon Cathedral and Heritage Centre.

Oil central heating, electricity and a welcome basket of logs are included in the price (more logs available at local stores nearby). Cot and high chair available if needed. Mobile phone reception is very good for all networks and excellent Wi-Fi available. Brecon offers three supermarkets and many excellent local shops. Tesco and Asda offer a delivery service.
