About The Granary

The Granary is a wonderful stone holiday cottage in Walton West, a mere half a mile from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and Little Haven's two pubs and cafe. It's in an idyllic spot, set back from a quiet country lane with panoramic views over fields towards the sea. There is little traffic noise to mar the quiet and no light pollution to dim the magnificence of the night skies. The two-bedroom cottage sleeps four people and is suitable for couples or families.

Little Haven is a charming seaside village with a wide sandy beach facing St Bride's Bay. Being part of a national park means it's been protected from development, and very little of its appearance has changed over the decades. Both pubs in Little Haven are worth visiting and serve food at lunchtime and in the evening. Just be aware that the easy downhill walk from the cottage to the village turns into a steep one on the way home! Broad Haven is an easy walk along the coast footpath, or you can get there along the shore at low tide. You could also take the Puffin Shuttle 400 bus service that passes the end of the drive and runs close to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path between Marloes and St Davids, or bring or hire bikes to use on cycling routes and bridleways. Broad Haven has several places to eat and drink and there is also a Londis store open every day.

Day trips can include wandering around the charming but tiny city of St Davids, best known for its stunning 12th Century cathedral, which has a good variety of galleries, shops and cafes. Folly Farm, Bluestone and Oakwood are favourite family-friendly attractions. Visit Pembroke and Manorbier Castles and walk down the steps carved into the cliffs to St Govan's Chapel, let the kids go crabbing from the harbour walls at Solva, tuck into ice cream at Tenby and take a sightseeing boat trip to Skomer to see the puffins.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is wonderfully unspoiled, with lots to see and do in every season. The Granary is within easy reach of favourite sights and attractions and appeals to visitors who want somewhere quiet where they can sit in the garden and do as little as possible. It is available for bookings from Easter to the end of October.
