The Coach House is a stylish conversion featuring everything you could wish for in a dog-friendly self-catering cottage in Pembrokeshire. It comfortably accommodates six guests in three bedrooms with a modern decor that appeals to families and friends. It's in the quiet town of Neyland, a few miles from Milford Haven and within walking distance of the Rose & Willow pub, cafes, takeaways and shops. There are dozens of beaches and popular attractions within half an hour or less, making it the perfect place for a holiday at any time of the year.
Neyland’s history dates back to the days of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, whose statue is near the marina. Brunel chose Neyland as the place from which people would travel to the New World having arrived there by rail from London. He was responsible for the construction of the largest railway station in Wales; the station serviced the Irish Packet Service which operated for 50 years, closing in 1906. In 1964, Neyland railway station and its accompanying lines fell victim to Dr Beeching’s axe and was closed. The site was redeveloped in the 1980s into what is now an award winning Marina. Guests can walk or cycle from the Marina on the Brunel trail which follows the old railway line as far as Haverfordwest.
Milford Haven is a lively town with plenty of amenities that make it a favourite place to live and visit. Go shopping, have lunch, sit beside the waterfront with a drink or a picnic and watch the boats going up and down the estuary. There is a museum, theatre, bowling alley, sightseeing cruises and harbourside walks. Highlights of Milford Haven's long history include Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, and the New England Whalers. You can learn more about the role it's played in significant events along the waymarked Heritage Trails.
Pembrokeshire is famous for its breathtaking beaches. Spread your beach towel out on the sandy shores of Little Haven, Broad Haven, Freshwater, Barafundle Bay, Freshwater West, Newgale, Whitesands, Druidston, Marloes and Manorbier. Walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Footpath, taking advantage of the seasonal shuttle bus service to walk further without worrying about getting home. Local attractions include Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon Waterpark, Pembroke Castle, and St David's Cathedral. You can also spend happy days at the Farmer's Market in Haverfordwest or browsing antiques, and visiting gorgeous gardens in Tenby. Surfing, paddleboarding, windsurfing, coasteering, sailing, and fishing are easily accessible, as are golf, mountain biking, and horse riding.
Fill your days with fun and adventure, or settle down in the sunny courtyard garden with a parasol and the papers. The choice is yours when you stay at The Coach House.
