The Barn is the perfect place for couples and families to unwind and relax. It is one of five eco-friendly self-catering Pembrokeshire holiday cottages owned by Asheston Eco Barns. It can be booked on its own to sleep up to four people, or together with one or more of the other properties to accommodate groups of up to 29 friends or extended family members. The Barn is finished to a high standard and enjoys far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
Asheston Eco Barns sits in more than 22 private acres giving guests all of the peace they crave. Although rural, it's within easy reach of Haverfordwest, Solva and St David's with good access to an excellent choice of places to eat, drink and shop, including local markets and farm shops. It's a fantastic location for a self-catering holiday as guests have the flexibility to choose at the last minute whether they want to eat at home or go out for a meal.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is close by, with Newgale beach being only two miles from The Barn. It's just one of many breathtaking beaches to enjoy with other local spots including Broad Haven, Little Haven, Druids Haven and Marloes Sands, as well as Dale, Whitesands and Traeth Llyfn. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath traces the outline of the coast from top to bottom, providing stunning views and access to coves and beaches that are not accessible by car. Surfing, kiteboarding, windsurfing and coasteering are all popular ways to enjoy the beautiful beaches and cliffs, with equipment hire, surf schools and guided tours available through a variety of local businesses.
Walking is an understandably popular way to experience the beauty of this unspoiled landscape. The coastal footpath is one of many way-marked trails with others passing around the nearby Preseli mountain range, through the Anghof Valley and Sealyham, and along the local Roch Ridge. Fishing, golf and horse riding area three more exciting outdoor activities. There are loads of cycling trails to suit all abilities, including the Celtic Trail National cycle route which passes close to the Asheston Eco Barns on its way between Fishguard and Swansea.
Days out can include building sandcastles on the beach, wandering through the ruins of a castle, discovering a deserted cove, browsing at a local market or gallery, and eating your weight in fresh local Pembrokeshire produce. Pembrokeshire has a full calendar of festivals. There is always something fun to see and do regardless of the season making it a perfect year-round holiday destination.
