An elegant Victorian villa in Robin Hood's Bay, Fernleigh is made for families, friends and gatherings. The house sleeps up to 10 adults plus 2 children, giving larger groups space to settle in, spread out and enjoy time together by the sea. Recently featured in Yorkshire Life magazine, Fernleigh was praised for its warm and welcoming entrance and its sense of being somewhere to return to. For the owners, whose family has holidayed in Robin Hood's Bay across five generations, the idea behind the house is simple: to create a place families want to come back to. There are six sleeping spaces in total: five adult bedrooms and a separate children's bunk room. The top floor includes a private family suite with a king size bedroom, a separate children's bunk room with full size bunk beds and its own private shower room. Fernleigh has five private shower rooms in total, all served by a full pressure hot water system for powerful showers, plus a separate downstairs WC. Fernleigh is one of the Bay's few large holiday homes where everyone can come together without feeling crowded. There are generous living spaces, a grand dining room, a warm and characterful snug, a private enclosed garden, parking for two cars and a six person hot tub tucked away at the end of the garden (available from August '26 and from 1st March - 1st November annually). Set on Mount Pleasant South in Upper Bay, the three south facing bedrooms look out across sweeping sea and bay views. Downstairs, double doors open onto the private garden, with outdoor dining, comfortable seating, a BBQ and the hot tub ready for slow mornings, summer suppers and evenings under the stars. Inside, you will find a grand living room with a feature open fireplace, comfortable sofas, bay window chairs, a 55 inch Smart TV and Nintendo Switch 2. The spacious dining room has a log burner usable by guests and a huge bespoke table made for long meals together. The fully equipped kitchen is centred around a modern range cooker, with Miele appliances, a Sage Nespresso coffee machine and everything needed for relaxed cooking during your stay. Each bedroom is furnished with White Company duvets and pillows, matched with Yorkshire made soft furnishings from the Yorkshire Blanket Company. High speed Wi-Fi, full gas central heating, a private EV charger, thoughtful baby equipment and dog friendly touches help make every detail of your stay easier. On arrival, enjoy a welcome hamper with Baytown Coffee, cake and biscuits, a warm Yorkshire start to your stay at Fernleigh. Fernleigh is managed locally for us by Baytown Holiday Cottages.
