Farrier's Cottage is a fantastic cottage in a wonderful location on the outskirts of Pickering. It is one of seven superb 4-Star self-catering cottages at Low Costa Mill, where amenities include an indoor swimming pool, 10 acres of gardens and woodland, an outdoor games area, and plenty of space to run and play. The welcoming brick cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms. It is ideal for couples or young families, with children loving being near the play area and the fully-fenced duck pond.
Low Costa Mill is only a mile and a half from Pickering, so guests have good access to shops, cafes, pubs and a busy weekly market every Monday. The region is a favourite with walkers and cyclists for the diversity of the routes and the magnificent scenery. Have fun exploring over the moors, through Dalby Forest or along the North York Moors coastline. There are footpaths from the door of the cottage, and guests can wander through the owner's woodland and beside Costa Beck, which flows through Low Costa Mill's grounds. Cyclists are well-catered for, with the owners providing secure bike storage pods, a hose for washing your bike and space with a stand so that you can carry out any essential repairs. Bike hire and guided rides are available locally.
Day trips can include sitting on the sand with fresh fish and chips at Scarborough, Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay. Have fun on the high ropes course at Go Ape in Dalby Forest, marvel at the opulence of Castle Howard, or visit historical sites like Rievalux Abbey and Helmsley Castle. Other local attractions include Pickering Castle, North York Moors Railway, Beck Isle Museum, Flamingo Land, and Alpamere Water Park.
Farrier's Cottage is private and self-contained. Depending on availability, it can be booked with other cottages at Low Costa Mill to accommodate extended families or groups of friends.

Farrier's Cottage is a charming brick cottage with accommodation all on one level. The cottage overlooks the enclosed duckpond and children's play area.
Outside: The cottage has a private lawn garden with a table, chairs so you can sit out and make the most of good weather. Guests have use of all of the shared amenities at Low Costa Mill, which include gardens, an indoor swimming pool and woodland walks. Guests have access to lockable bike storage, along with bike wash and bike maintenance facilities. There is parking near the cottage and an EV charging point on site (charges apply).
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. Guests to supply towels for use by the pool or the beach if they are required. Short breaks may be possible outside of peak season, depending on availability. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement - supplement applies. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings at Low Costa Mill.
