Thresher Cottage is a gorgeous brick holiday cottage in a stunning location just outside of Pickering. It is one of seven 4-Star self-catering cottages at Low Costa Mill, where the excellent amenities feature an indoor swimming pool, and 10 acres of grounds that include woodland walks, a playground, a huge dog exercise field, and quiet spots along the shores of Costa Beck. Thresher Cottage sleeps four people in two bedrooms and suits couples, families or friends.
Pickering is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the breathtaking beauty of the North York Moors. It welcomes visitors all year round, providing a great choice of places to eat, drink and shop. Pickering has a busy Monday market, a castle, and the Beck Isle Museum. The owner has created a range of running and walking trails around the site, and there are many miles of footpaths crossing the moors, going through valleys, over hills, and around the North York Moors coastline. There is a walk to suit everyone whether you want somewhere to lie in the heather and watch the clouds with not a soul for miles, or you like to take your binoculars to spot birds and wildlife. There are romantic ruins like those at Rievlaux Abbey, and gorgeous gardens like the ones at Castle Howard, Dunscombe Park and Nunnington Hall.
If it's sunny, head for the coast and the simple pleasures of a day at the seaside. Scarborough, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby are all within easy reach for a day out. Alternatively, jump on your bike and take to the trails at Dalby Forest or the sweeping country lanes leading to spectacular views. The owners are very cycle friendly and provide a place to wash and maintain your bike as well as lockable pods to store it securely.
Local attractions include Flamingo Land, Go Ape at Dalby Forest, the Sealife Centre in Scarborough, and Aplamere Waterpark. With such great amenities at Low Costa Mill, you don't have to go anywhere to have a fantastic time.
Thresher Cottage is available for bookings all year round. Depending on availability, it can be booked together with other cottages at Low Costa Mill for holidays with extended family and friends.

Thresher Cottage was formerly a barn but is now a 4-star holiday cottage with accommodation over two levels and thoughtful touches like a DAB radio.

Outside: The cottage has a private garden with lawn and outdoor furniture. There is parking out the front, and Low Costa Mill has an EV charging point. Guests have full use of the shared amenities that include an indoor swimming pool, playground and woodland trails.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. A travel cot (no bedding) is available. Guests to provide towels for use by the pool or at the beach if they are required. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. Smoking is not permitted in any of the properties at Low Costa Mill.
