Tucked away on the edge of the North York Moors, Cote Ghyll Cottage is a spacious Yorkshire retreat designed with families and friends in mind — a place where you can arrive, switch off and feel at home from the moment you walk through the door.
Sleeping up to eight guests across four comfortable bedrooms, the cottage blends traditional charm with modern comforts, offering everything needed for a relaxing countryside escape. From cosy evenings beside the log burner to competitive games in the games room or unwinding in the private hot tub, every detail has been thoughtfully created for memorable stays together.
Set within its own private gardens on the edge of an award-winning holiday park, guests can also enjoy access to a range of on-site facilities during the open season (March to October) including children’s play areas, woodland spaces, Mill Kitchen and a private sauna.
Just half a mile away lies the picturesque village of Osmotherley, where welcoming pubs, cafés and local shops are all within easy walking distance. Enjoy a drink or evening meal at the much-loved Three Tuns or Golden Lion before strolling back to the cottage through the peaceful Yorkshire surroundings.

The stunning Cod Beck Reservoir is only a ten-minute walk from the cottage, while the famous Cleveland Way and Coast to Coast walking routes pass close by. Cyclists are equally well catered for, with National Cycle Route 65 nearby and miles of scenic road cycling and mountain biking trails suitable for all abilities.
Golfers and equestrian visitors will also find plenty to enjoy, with several golf courses and trekking centres within easy reach.

Escape to the comfort and privacy of Cote Ghyll Cottage — a spacious countryside retreat designed for relaxing family breaks, group getaways and memorable stays in every season.
Sleeping up to eight guests across four beautifully furnished bedrooms, the cottage combines traditional character with modern comforts, including a private hot tub, games room and generous outdoor space.
Inside the Cottage
Step into a cosy sitting room with comfortable sofas, an impressive handcrafted stone fireplace and log burner — perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the countryside. Guests can also enjoy Freeview TV, DVD player, WiFi, books and board games for relaxed evenings indoors.
The separate games room features a full-size 7ft oak pool table, flatscreen TV and a selection of children’s toys and games, with glass doors opening directly onto the patio garden.
At the heart of the cottage is a spacious farmhouse kitchen and dining area with a solid oak dining table seating eight guests comfortably. Fully equipped with quality appliances, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and cooking essentials, it’s ideal for everything from hearty breakfasts to family dinners. A separate utility room includes a washer/dryer, iron and ironing board for added convenience.
The ground floor also offers a modern shower room with walk-in shower, heated towel rail, WC and wash basin.

Upstairs you’ll find four thoughtfully designed bedrooms finished with quality oak furniture, divan beds and comfortable linens:
Master bedroom with king-size bed, lamps and free standing oak wardrobe
Double bedroom with bedside tables, lamps & inbuilt wardrobes
Two twin bedrooms with full-size single beds, lamps and wardrobes
All bedrooms include bedside tables and reading lights, while the cottage also provides hairdryers.
Outdoor Living
The enclosed cottage garden is designed for making the most of sunny days, with two lawned areas and patios allowing guests to follow the sun throughout the day.
To the rear of the cottage, guests can relax in the private hot tub or enjoy outdoor dining with the barbecue and garden furniture during warmer months. There is also a sandpit for the little ones.
Private driveway parking is available for up to four cars, with additional off-road parking if needed.
