Cote Ghyll Cottage is owned by people who understand that when families walk into their Yorkshire holiday cottage, they want to immediately feel at home, relaxed and ready to start having fun. Guests will find everything they need for their perfect holiday, including four bedrooms that sleep up to eight people, an open fireplace, games room and private gardens. The cottage is on the edge of an award-winning holiday park and guests have access to the children's play areas and other site facilities. Osmotherley village is only half a mile away, meaning shops, cafes and pubs like the Three Tuns and Golden Lion are within walking distance.
Osmotherley is ideally located for a holiday in the North York Moors, particularly for those who can't wait to get out and explore. The scenic and picturesque Cod Beck Reservoir is a short ten minute walk from the cottage, with the quaint village of Osmotherley a ten minute walk in the opposite direction. The Cleveland Way and Coast to Coast footpaths are nearby. Cyclists will appreciate having National Cycle Route 65 on the doorstep, and there are miles of road and mountain bike trails to challenge and excite riders of all abilities. Equestrians and golfers are catered for with three golf courses and three trekking centres nearby.
If you’re looking for more than the outdoor activities on the doorstep then explore the area a little further with the historic North York Moors Railway; admire the antics of the residents at Flamingo Land; discover more about the people who shaped this landscape at The Ryedale Folk Museum. Castle Howard and Helmsley Castle are within easy reach for a relaxing day out, as are the Helmsley Walled Gardens and Thorp Perrow. The North York Moors are breathtaking both in their size and beauty. The region is as perfect for those who want to walk for miles and barely pass another person as it is for visitors who enjoy the pretty villages and lively market towns. Cote Ghyll Cottage is more than just a "base" from which you can explore, it is a welcoming home from home where you can relax and spend time with your family and friends while you discover why Yorkshire is so special.
