Txoko Cottage sleeps six guests in three bedrooms with one bathroom and an extra toilet. It is situated in a peaceful location in the picturesque Test Valley in Hampshire. With spectacular country views, welcoming cheerful accommodation and the shared use of a fantastic outdoor pool available May - September (heated in the warmer months) and additional wet-room with non-slip floor, this delightful cottage is ideal for a family holiday.
The cottage is well equipped with everything needed to self-cater, offering a welcoming retreat from which to relax in a picturesque rural setting. Wildlife is in abundance with rare butterflies, varied birds and even deer visiting - a real wonderland for children (and adults) to explore!
Located off a peaceful country lane, Txoko Cottage is an easy walk to the village store for stocking up on provisions. There are also numerous award-winning eateries locally for those seeking fine dining. Ideal for walkers, there is a network of footpaths and byways just waiting to be explored, directly from the front door, along with the Monarch and Clarendon Way within easy reach. For those who enjoy cycling, the National cycle route (No 24) passes through the village and for the fishermen amongst you, the renowned rivers Test and Dun, nearby, provide excellent opportunities. There are also several golf courses close by, along with horse riding and for those who enjoy a fine culinary experience, The Greyhound is situated only eight miles away in Stockbridge (known as 'Hampshire's Little London'), which offers additional gourmet eateries and independent shops.
Nestling amongst farmland and rolling hills on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, the cottage is within easy driving distance of Salisbury, Southampton, Winchester, the market town of Romsey and the New Forest National Park with its many attractions. There are ancient market towns and quintessentially English pretty villages with thatched cottages to explore, along with many attractions with something to offer all ages including: Peppa Pig World, Paulton's Park and Marwell Zoo, with its vast selection of endangered and exotic animals, which are sure to please the younger ones; along with the stately home of Wilton House, with its internationally important collection of art and beautiful parkland, the City of Portsmouth, with its strong maritime roots and the Isle of Wight, which is great for a day trip and ferry ride. Bournemouth (forty minutes by car), Bath and London by train, are also easily accessible.

Txoko Cottage was formerly a 19th Century stable block and today provides self-catering accommodation of an extremely high standard. It has plenty of character with high vaulted ceilings in the sitting room and kitchen and modern comforts including under floor heating making it warm and inviting all year round.
Accommodation comprises:
Outside: Enclosed garden which is secure for children and dogs with a large patio area with BBQ. Guests also have the shared use of an outdoor swimming pool (heated during the warmer months) with a separate wet room, WC and wash basin adjacent to the pool.
Additional information: All of the accommodation is on one level, with no steps, so the cottage has very good access for all. One well behaved pet welcome. Price includes linen, towels, logs (in low season) and electricity. Highchair and cot available on request for a small additional charge. Long weekends and mid-week breaks available during low season or on request.
Group Bookings: When both Txoko Cottage and Little Owls are booked together, large groups of ten guests can be accommodated. Ideal for getting together with family/friends or celebrating a special occasion, ten guests can dine together around one table in Txoko Cottage and outside catering can be arranged. All female and all male parties may be considered by arrangement with the owner but please note that hen and stag parties can not be accommodated.
Visit the beautiful New Forest and Hampshire countryside Short stays of 3 or 4 days available out of high season. Only 10 minutes drive to Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World. Close to the New Forest, South Coast and the ancient cities of Winchester and Salisbury.
