The Loft is a peaceful Herefordshire holiday cottage in the rural village of Little Cowarne and within walking distance of the friendly Three Horseshoes pub. It's perfect for couples who want a romantic retreat and ideal for individuals who want somewhere more welcoming than a hotel if they're in the area for business or leisure. The first-floor studio-style apartment is at Little Cowarne Court with quirky circular walls thanks to its location in a former Oast House.
Little Cowarne is small but charming, with beautiful views and walks through woodland and pastures that appeal in every season. It's only a few miles from Bromyard, where you'll not only find shops selling the essentials for self-catering but also cafes, pubs and restaurants for times you don't want to cook. Follow the self-guided Bromyard Heritage Trail to learn more about the market town's eye-catching black and white half-timbered buildings, Norman church, and history going back over one thousand years. Bromyard is beside the River Frome with local attractions that include a weekly farmer's market every Thursday morning and an unconventional Sci-Fi museum, galleries and gardens.
Places to visit include Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, and Lower Brockhampton, both expertly managed by the National Trust. Clearwell Caves is a great all-weather attraction, as are tours of the Chase Distillery and Ludlow Brewery. Hereford is only 20-minutes away, with an impressive cathedral that houses the medieval Mappa Mundi. Hereford also has a wide variety of places to eat, drink and shop, and a cinema. Ludlow's specialist delis and butchers will be high on the itinerary for any food lover. It also has a castle and an impressive number of Tudor timber buildings to keep historians happy. Try your luck at the races - Ludlow, Hereford, Cheltenham and Worcester racecourses are all within a few miles of The Loft. Other activities include golf, fishing, and mountain biking in the nearby Malvern Hills and Wye Valley Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The Loft is available for bookings all year round.
