The Forge is one of six fantastic holiday homes situated in the historic village of Lyonshall in Herefordshire. Located in a peaceful position on a seven hundred acre family owned estate, the cottage oozes character and charm whilst being furnished to a high standard. Sleeping up to three guests in one bedroom (plus a separate futon bed) The Forge is perfect for couples, small families or friends wanting to relax and enjoy a slice of country living.
Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with the number of activities on offer nearby. Keen walkers can tackle a section of the 177 mile long Offa’s Dyke footpath or head over the Welsh border to explore the Brecon Beacons. Other activities include mountain biking, horse riding and golf. True adventure seekers will love a day out at Oaker Wood Leisure where you can try your hand at a variety of activities including quad biking, high ropes, rafting and clay pigeon shooting. If you are looking for a slower pace of life browse the antique shops in Ludlow, Kington and Leominster or enjoy a leisurely day in the literary town of Hay-on-Wye or the cathedral city of Hereford.
Whilst the cottage is well equipped for self-catering if you fancy a night off cooking there are plenty of places to choose from just a few miles away including the Michelin Star pub, The Stagg Inn, in Titley. Whether you choose to spend lazy days within the Whittern Estate, or you want to explore further afield, you are guaranteed to return home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
