Gosport is a terrific year-round holiday destination. It's on the western side of Portsmouth Harbour, and the ferry crossing between the Gosport and Gunwharf Quays takes just four minutes. Its naval history is evident not only in the ramparts seen from your bedroom window but also at places like Explosion! The Museum of Naval Firepower and the Royal Navy Submarine Museum. A walk around the waterfront will lead you past Haslar marina, The Submarine Museum, Fort Gilkicker and give beautiful views over The Solent. towards the Isle of Wight. Lee-on-the-Solent is a family-friendly beach around four miles from the property, with other choices for a sunny day, including Stokes Bay, Eastney and Hills Head. The Hampshire coastline is one of the most underrated, and therefore quietest, coastlines in the south. Go sailing, Stand Up Paddleboarding, or kayaking, or hire a bicycle to explore the Hampshire coastline and countryside at your leisure.
Portsmouth has a vast array of attractions, restaurants and shops across the water. Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the Mary Rose Museum interest all ages, as is the Spinnaker Tower, although those with a weak constitution may want to avoid the glass viewing floor! Gunwharf Quays is known for its designer outlet shopping and is a top choice for a financially savvy fashionista.

Outside: The holiday home has a courtyard garden on the ground floor and a balcony with outdoor furniture on the first floor. There is allocated parking for two cars and a garage with an EV charging point.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFI, bed linen and bath towels are included. A travel cot (no bedding) and a high chair are available on request. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. It is possible to hire a hot tub for use in the courtyard - please enquire when booking. Smoking is not permitted. Futon beds to sleep extra guests are possible for an additional fee.
