Upper Westfield is a light, spacious, welcoming holiday rental in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The self-catering property is in the pretty Dorset village of Puncknowle (pronounced "Punnel"), just over a mile from the coast and a five-minute stroll from the village pub, The Crown - far enough to work up a thirst but not too far that you can't also face the walk home! It's on the first floor of a charming stone building typical of this area, with a private entrance, off-street parking, and a garden. With space for four people to sleep in two bedrooms, Upper Westfield is perfect for couples or friends.
This area is ideal if you love walking through the countryside or along the coast. Upper Westfield is in the Bride Valley with local footpaths leading to Chesil Beach (great for fossil hunting), West Bexington, and The Knoll. Follow the South West Coast Path or head inland to The Hardy Monument on Black Down. Alternatively, wander through a vineyard followed by wine tasting at Bride Valley Vineyard. Cycling is also a joy in this scenic spot.
You'll always find something exciting to do when you stay at Upper Westfield. Wander through a landscape that inspired Thomas Hardy, one of England's most beloved authors and poets, or explore the UNESCO Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, where 185 million years of history is displayed along 95 miles of breathtaking coastline. With its impressive Arts & Crafts heritage, a cinema, cafes, restaurants and independent shops, Bridport is only a 15-minute drive from the apartment, and Abbotsbury gardens and swannery are also nearby. Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, the Dinosaur Musem in Dorchester, and the Sealife Centre in Weymouth are also close enough for a day of fun and adventure.
The owners of Upper Westfield welcome bookings for self-catering holidays all year round. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability.

Upper Westfield is a first-floor apartment with a dedicated entrance on the ground floor. Once inside, accommodation is all on one level.
Outside: The property has off-street parking and a garden reserved for the sole use of guests.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Please enquire regarding pets. Smoking is not permitted. Hairdryer provided.
