Dorset is arguably best known for the infamous Jurassic Coast. It boasts beautiful beaches, stunning views from cliff top paths and fascinating rock formations. Spend your days hunting for fossils, be wowed by the iconic limestone arch at Durdle Door or simply bring your deckchair and a good book and curl your toes into the sand as you soak up the sea air. A bracing walk along the South West coastal path is a great way to admire the stunning scenery and landmarks, or take a boat trip where you can also learn more about the local history and wildlife. You will find a number of boat trips leaving from Weymouth, Portland Marina or Poole.

If you are looking for long stretches of sandy beaches, the seaside towns of Bournemouth, Weymouth or Swanage will not disappoint. Or opt for one of the quieter coves such as Church Ope near Weymouth or Eype’s Mouth Beach close to Bridport. If you can tear yourself away from the beach there is plenty to see and do. Explore the ruins of the medieval fortress at Corfe castle, enjoy a family day out at Monkey World or sample local English wines at the Furleigh Estate near Bridport. Whatever you choose to do on holiday there is no better way to end your day with a glass of something fizzy in a bubbling hot tub whilst you watch the sun set.
