Number 6 is in the popular seaside resort of Weymouth on the beautiful Dorset coast. Everything guests need for a memorable holiday is on the doorstep, including excellent amenities like shops and the William Henry pub and favourite attractions. There is space for up to 12 people to sleep in five bedrooms, with lots of room indoors and outside and a layout that is perfect for big families, extended families and friends.
Weymouth is a popular year-round holiday destination. The Blue Flag beach is wide and sandy, with calm water for swimming and deck chairs to hire. The Georgians loved Weymouth and left their mark in the seafront buildings which house restaurants, game arcades and shops, so there's always somewhere to pop for fish and chips or tea and cake - how British! You can walk to the beach and harbour from the cottage, while the RSPB Lodmoor nature reserve is next door, and the SEA LIFE Centre and Pirate Adventure Mini Golf are also nearby.
You don't have to stay in Weymouth when you stay at Number 6. There are so many other things to see and do in Dorset that your days will be happily full no matter what time of the year you visit. Nearby beaches include Lulworth Cove, Studland and Chesil Beach, as well as lesser-known coastal spots such as secluded Chapman's Pool and Worbarrow Bay. The Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site is a short drive from the cottage, with the opportunity to search for fossils at Charmouth and Lyme Regis.
Day trips can feature a day shopping and sightseeing in Bournemouth, walking to the famous Portland Bill lighthouse or beauty spots such as Abbotsbury Castle and Bindon Hill. Cycling is another favourite way to explore, and there are excellent routes on and off-road to suit everyone. There are National Trust properties and stately homes, beautiful parks and gardens, family-friendly attractions like Monkey World, Splashdown water park, castles and historic sites, markets and festivals.
Number 6 is so close to the best sights and attractions around Weymouth, which is well-connected by public transport, that you could easily leave the car at home. The house's central location, combined with its versatile layout and big garden make it perfect for a holiday with family and friends.
