Orchard View is one of two cottages located on a smallholding just outside the friendly village of Goodleigh, near Barnstaple. You’ll find lovely wooden floors, stylish furnishings, and practical touches like a ground-floor bedroom, low kitchen counters, and wide doorways—making it a great choice for wheelchair users.
Goodleigh is just over a mile from the cottage, sitting between Orchard View and Barnstaple. Here, you can pop into the welcoming New Inn pub for a delicious seasonal menu and a fantastic drink selection. There’s also a handy shop for all your daily needs and a quaint 13th-century church to explore. If you head west, you'll hit Barnstaple in no time, where you can check out independent shops and taste plenty of local dining spots. Kids will love the nearby tennis court, leisure centre, indoor trampolining, and skate park.
While North Devon is famous for its breathtaking coastline, its rural landscape is just as impressive. Staying at Orchard View means you get to enjoy both stunning countryside and beautiful scenery. You’ve got fantastic walking and cycling routes, including the Tarka Trail, right at your doorstep.
