The first-floor, two-bedroom apartment sleeps four people and is furnished to a very high standard. Converted from an 18th Century barn to provide 4 Star accommodation. The cottage is a favourite with couples (especially walkers) and is dog-friendly. The small market town of Settle is only a few miles away, and you can easily reach places like Carlisle, York and Ribblesdale thanks to the nearby and spectacular Settle to Carlisle Railway. There is so much scope for walking and cycling, with paths accessible via a short walk from the cottage, making The Byres a wonderful choice for a self-catering holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. Accommodation is not suitable for children under ten due to the beck which runs through the garden.

The house is well equipped for fine dining, has a really comfy sitting room and snug with books, games, piano and smart TV (ideal for entertaining the children). The downstairs bootroom has laundry and drying facilities with an adjoining wet room should you need to shower off the outdoors! We have a 'Gastro Pub' in the village and Reeth and Gunnerside villages with their pubs and cafes are a 2.5 mile walk. The house is ideal for getting together with your favourite people for a short break or celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversay. The grounds are secure and we welcome well behaved dogs but do ask guests not to allow them upstairs or on the furniture.
