For over two decades, we've had the pleasure of hosting guests from across the United Kingdom and around the globe to Skipton, the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Explore the beautiful countryside surrounding Skipton with ease, as our cottage is the ideal base for outdoor adventures. Located in a quiet part of Skipton town centre, you'll be just a stone's throw away from Aireville Park, perfect for walks with your furry friend.
Stay connected with free WIFI via fibre broadband and enjoy entertainment on the 42" Smart TV with access to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The cottage also offers enclosed front and rear paved areas, where you can relax or enjoy a meal at the bistro table and chairs.
Cyclists will find secure bike storage, enabling you to venture out and explore the beautiful surroundings on two wheels.
Although Thisledo does not have its own designated parking, ample street parking is available just a short walk away. Additionally, short stay parking is available near the cottage for convenient loading and unloading.
Immerse yourself in the historic market town of Skipton, with its charming shops, cafes, and restaurants. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Skipton Castle, a must-see attraction that welcomes dogs too.

We offer weekly rentals from mid-April to mid-October and short stays with a minimum of three nights from mid-October to mid-April. Early check-in is usually available upon request, and there are no additional charges for pets.

The Cottage is ideally situated in central Skipton and is less than 15 minutes walk from the railway station & around 5 minutes in a taxi. The Bus station is a similiar distance from the cottage. Leeds Bradford is the nearest airport which is less than a one hours drive from the cottage.
Situated just off Gargrave Road in Skipton, the cottage enjoys a prime location, merely a five-minute stroll away from the Town Centre. This convenient setting allows guests to explore local restaurants, bars, and pubs during evenings.
The keys are left in a keybox at the cottage & we provide the keycode and directions to the cottage before your stay commences. We live in Embsay just outside Skipton and are available to help if any problems arise during your stay.
All bedding, towels and teat towels required for your stay are provided.
Fortunately, although Thisledo does not offer a specific parking area, there are plenty of street parking options located just a short walk away from the cottage. Moreover, to ensure your convenience, there is a short-term parking area located a few yards from the cottage's front entrance, which can be used for loading and unloading your vehicle on your arrival and departure days.
It's important to mention that the cottage has a staircase with a steep incline consisting of 13 steps, which might pose a slight challenge for certain guests.
MAIN ENTRANCE
The main entrance to the cottage is through a small fenced yard area, containing a garden bench for two people, the front door opens into the cloakroom with a door into the sitting room.
THE DINING ROOM AND LOUNGE
There is a large two seater leather settee, a drop leaf dining table and two dining chairs, a SMART TV with access to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime, a soundbar, DVD player and a BOSE CD Player/radio.
SELF CATERING KITCHEN
The fully equipped kitchen is L shaped with a gas cooker and hob, a De Longhi Coffee machine, a microwave, a toaster, a fridge and a washing machine. A freezer and tumble dryer can be found in the outbuilding in the rear yard.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES TO THE REAR OF THE COTTAGE
Exiting from the kitchen door there is a enclosed stone paved area with a bistro table and two chairs.
BEDROOM
Exiting the kitchen to go up the stairs, there is a steep staircase with 13 steps leading to the upstairs, the staircase maybe a bit challenging for some elderly guests or those with limited mobility. The bedroom contains a comfortable double bed, bedside tables and lights and a large mirror fronted wardrobe.
BATHROOM
A large bathroom with a spacious shower, a hand basin, WC and a heated towel rail
CENTRAL HEATING
A combi boiler and Hive Thermostat provide hot water and central heating throughout the cottage.
