West Close Farmhouse is home to two comfortable holiday cottages, converted from barns, to provide accommodation for four guests or eight if both are rented together. Sitting at the very heart of Coverdale within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, the two bedroom cottages are relaxing country retreats each boasting a log burning stove for cosy winter evenings and benefitting from a biomass heating system. They both enjoy breathtaking views over Coverdale and beyond to the North York Moors. Each cottage has a conservatory and patio with barbecue area, allowing guests to enjoy the fabulous views and stunning scenery at any time of the year from both inside and out. They also offer metered electric vehicle charging sockets (type 2). There is also a large shared garden available for guests to enjoy.
Within easy driving distance of the market town of Leyburn, Middleham, with its horse racing connections and historic castle and Masham with its very own breweries. There are plenty of things to see and do in the surrounding area.
Within the locality: There are plenty of local walks and easy access to the Yorkshire Dales walking network with miles of wonderful walks; Cycling on the Yorkshire Dales Cycleway; Pubs - The nearest is less than a mile away at Carlton (community pub) and there are pubs at Middleham (four miles) and West Witton (two and a half miles); Leyburn and Middleham are four miles and offer a good selection of interesting shops. The cottages are within easy access to York, Ripon, Harrogate and Durham.

Field Cottage sleeps four guests (plus cot) and is a single-storey stone converted barn that provides split-level holiday accommodation with uninterrupted views that span as far as the Vale of York in the distance, encompassing Coverdale and lower Wensleydale. The cottage benefits from a new biomass heating system and EV charging.

Outside: Secure parking is available to the side of the cottage in a large floodlit area. Guests have a patio with garden furniture and barbecue - perfect for alfresco dining whilst admiring the wonderful views!
Additional information: Bedlinen is provided for the duvets and pillows, along with towels. Biomass central heating and electricity included in the price. The cottage is supplied by treated spring water. Cot and high chair are available by arrangement. Strictly non-smoking. Dogs welcome (a maximum of two per cottage). There is a secure storage area for bicycles.
