Ystumgwern Barn Conversions are on a 1,000 acre working farm lying between mountains and sea on the west coast of the Snowdonia National Park.
All of the properties have been awarded the VisitWales highest grade of five Stars and are superbly equipped and tastefully furnished to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.
There are plenty of things to see and do in this lovely area with the following all being available within five miles: the pretty harbour town of Porthmadog with its great shops and opportunities to ride on a Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam train; slate mine where you can discover the areas industrial heritage; and Harlech, home to the Royal St. David's golf course and beautiful sandy beaches that stretch ten miles to Barmouth which sits on the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, a haven for wildlife. The accommodation is also ideal for those who enjoy fishing, pony trekking, sailing and visiting the sandy "blue flag" beaches of the Cambrian coastline, along with those looking for a walking holiday in the Welsh mountains.
Explore the surrounding area which is dotted with pretty villages including Llanbedr with Shell Island to its west (a great place to collect shells with its wild flora and fauna) and the coastal village of Llandanwg which has an ancient church by the sea nestling amongst sand dunes.
For those who like to keep active, there are superb walks and cycle routes in the surrounding countryside where you can enjoy the wonderful backdrop of the Rhinog mountains as you explore the area. Ystumgwern Barn Conversions offer a selection of one and two bedroom holiday homes which sleep two to four guests. Built of stone and formerly farm buildings, the cottages are beautifully presented, combining country farmhouse style with modern conveniences to ensure guests are comfortable during their stay.
Beudy Bach and Llofft Allan are both perfect for couples sleeping two guests. Both apartments have one bedroom (there is a double bedroom in Llofft Allan and Beudy Bach offers flexible sleeping with a king-size bed that can be arranged as two singles) and en-suites with shower over the bath. Beudy Bach provides ground floor accommodation and Llofft Allan is on the first floor.
Sgubor and Daflod both sleep up to four guests in two bedrooms with each apartment offering a double en-suite bedroom and en-suite twin with two single beds. Daflod offers first floor accommodation and Sgubor offers ground floor.
Rhiwal also sleeps four and offers 'upside-down' accommodation with a double bedroom and a twin, and a family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Facilities: Well equipped kitchens are fitted out with cookers (Gas), dishwashers, fridges (either with freezer compartments or separate freezers), microwaves and plenty of utensils. Living rooms have plenty of comfy seating, TV's, Hi-Fi's and DVD players, along with gas-fired central heating throughout. Beds have quilts and ready made for guests arrival.
Additional information: Towels are supplied (please bring your own beach towels as they are not provided). There is a communal laundry room where you can wash and dry clothes that need freshening and also a shared games room. The farm is run on organic principles and the owners will be only to happy to share their knowledge with you. Ample off-road parking. Welcome Pack is provided. There is a village pub within walking distance (a mile pleasant walk), along with a railway station and play area in the town. Beudy Bach, Rhiwal and Sgubor all accept one well behaved dog. Cot and highchair provided. Guess have the use of a BBQ area, along with an outside play area for amusing the little ones.

Prices: The prices displayed on the advert below are based on two person occupancy. Should there be four people then the prices are: £370 (low season); £420 (mid season); £550 (high season) and £680 (peak season).
