Isfryn Cottage provides a delightful self-catering experience for couples, small families or friends in Dolgellau. The former home of the owner's father has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is perfectly located in a peaceful courtyard just steps from the historic village square in one of Snowdonia National Park's most picturesque places. This cosy Victorian cottage is a listed building and features two comfortable bedrooms and a fully equipped modern kitchen, making it easy to prepare home-cooked meals. Within walking distance, guests can enjoy a variety of dining options, including the traditional Torrent Inn pub known for its hearty meals, and several cafes ideal to savour morning coffees and fresh pastries.
Dolgellau is nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Snowdonia National Park and is a prime destination for outdoor lovers and history enthusiasts. Numerous scenic walks start in town, such as the Mawddach Trail, which follows a picturesque route to the seaside town of Barmouth. Adventure seekers can explore Cader Idris Mountain, the base of which is a 15-minute drive from the cottage, with trails catering to casual and serious hikers looking for a challenge.
Within an hour’s drive, guests can explore more of the diverse attractions of Snowdonia National Park. The adrenaline-inducing Zip World Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog has unique underground zip lines and adventure courses 45 minutes by car from your door. Coed y Brenin Forest Park, approximately 20 minutes from Dolgellau, is renowned for some of the best mountain biking trails in the UK and also has walking and running trails through lush forests. For a more leisurely day out, the beautiful beaches of Barmouth are just half an hour's drive, perfect for a family day on the sand. Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a cultural outing just 40 minutes away, providing insights into Welsh history with the backdrop of Snowdonia’s peaks.

Isfryn Cottage is a Victorian home with features and quirks typical of a period property. The steep internal staircase does not have a stairgate, and the owners recommend that it is inappropriate for toddlers or guests who find stairs challenging.

Outside: You'll recognise Isfryn Cottage from the courtyard by its smart red front door. The cottage has off-street parking, and there is space outside the front for a bistro table and chairs.
Additional Information: Well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is no enclosed garden but an easy path to woods a few hundred metres from the door. Smoking is not permitted. WiFi, utilities, bed linen and towels are provided.
