Watkin Cottage sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and sits in a cul-de-sac and within the town walls in the heart of the historic market town of Conwy on the glorious north coast of Wales. This attractive stone built fisherman’s cottage dates back to the 19th Century and offers comfortable and cosy self-catering accommodation for a relaxing holiday.
Exceptionally well located, Watkin Cottage is perfect to use as a base for exploring the many attractions of the area, as well as a good choice for those without a car being just a short walk (two minutes) from eateries, the Tourist Information Centre, shops and the train station.
Conwy is a World Heritage Site and picture-postcard pretty with its beautiful harbour, ancient town walls and magnificent castle which keeps a watchful eye over the estuary and town. There are lots of excellent places for a meal out (including tea rooms) and shops for provisions; attractions like the Conwy Butterfly Jungle, the smallest house in Great Britain and Plas Mawr; as well as Snowdonia's majestic National Park on the doorstep. Whether your passion is walking, mountain biking, fishing, pony trekking, twitching or enjoying a round of golf, this beautiful part of Wales has it all.
The popular Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno is only four miles from Conwy and a great place to visit with its majestic pier, promenade, eateries, shops, ski-slope, cable cars and the Great Orme (take a tram to the summit - the views are simply breathtaking!). Also within easy reach further attractions include the Conwy RSPB Nature Reserve, Bodnant Gardens and Colwyn Bay (with its pretty beach and home to the Welsh Mountain Zoo). Betws-y-Coed is a little further afield but worth the drive if you like outdoor adventures and you can also reach Llanberis, Portmerion, Caernarfon with its magnificent castle, Capel Curig mountain range and the Isle of Anglesey crossing the famous Menai bridge in less than an hour.
