The cottage is in a cul-de-sac and sleeps up to four guests in two bedrooms and is a 19th Century stone-built fisherman’s cottage of a traditional appearance. It is well equipped with a contemporary range of fixtures and fittings and provides a cosy and comfortable holiday accommodation and a welcoming place to return home to after an exciting day of exploring the area. The cottage is conveniently located with plenty of things to see and do within walking distance and is just a two minute walk from Conwy train station and bus stops, giving the option to leave the car at home.
Conwy has World Heritage Site status and is a tourists dream with its picturesque harbour overlooking the estuary, spectacular castle and great selection of interesting shops, tea rooms and eating establishments. It is surrounded by a beautiful and diverse landscape of mountains, fantastic beaches, rocky ridges and waterfalls. The medieval town is close to Snowdonia National Park and a great location for those who enjoy walking, climbing, horse riding, fishing, bird watching and playing golf and offers many more recreational activities of a varying nature.
Within 4 miles is located the beautiful and popular Victorian seaside town of Llandudno offering a stunning shop lined pier, a grand promenade, the great orme and tramway, cable cars, skiing slope and a range of shops and places to eat.
Other easy to reach attractions include Conwy Butterfly Jungle, Bodnant Gardens and the RSPB Nature Reserve to name just a few and of course the many magnificent Castles. Tourist Information centre nearby.
Additional places of interest further afield but still only 30 to 60 minutes’ drive away include: Betws-y-Coed, Llanberis, Capel Curig, Italianate Village of Portmerion, Castle towns of Caernarfon and Beaumaris in Anglesey.

On street parking is available along the entire stretch of the street on a first come first serve basis. There is a free parking bay offering space for 4 cars around the corner from the cottage through the arch and more up the lane and further free parking on the adjacent Rosemary Lane. There are two reasonably priced NCPs a couple of minutes’ drive away.
All fuel and power included. The property in addition to the gas fire has wall mounted electric storage heaters in all rooms. Bed linen, towels, complimentary toiletries and hospitality products provided. There is also a high chair and travel cot (please bring your own bedding for the cot). Iron and ironing board and hair dryer provided. Please refer to the welcome pack for further information. Short breaks with a minimum of three nights are available.
Watkin Cottage is located within the castle walls and close to the harbour providing a perfect base from which to enjoy the splendor of medieval Conwy and the beauty of North Wales generally.
