The area is also perfect for those who enjoy fishing, pony trekking, sailing and visiting the sandy "blue flag" beaches of the Cambrian coastline, along with those seeking a walking holiday in the Welsh mountains.
Snowdonia is a stunning contrast of leafy wooded valleys, majestic mountains, cascading streams, tranquil beautiful lakes, fantastic beaches and pretty harbours. Spend your days exploring the area, peppered with pretty villages like Llanbedr with nearby Shell Island (a great place to collect shells with its wild flora and fauna) and Llandanwg which has an ancient church by the sea. Alternatively stay locally and enjoy a game of golf at the Royal St. David's Course, visit the impressive castle, take in a show at the theatre or simply relax on the sandy beach.
For those who enjoy cycling and walking, there are plenty of opportunities in the nearby area where you can enjoy being active amongst a wonderful backdrop of the Rhinog mountains.
