Kings Garn is an impressive privately owned house which provides a second floor holiday apartment that can accommodate up to four guests in three bedrooms. Set within five acres of beautiful gardens, Kings Garn provides a peaceful retreat that is ideally positioned in the very heart of the New Forest.
Here you will see forest ponies, donkeys and cattle roaming freely and you can enjoy miles of forest walks and bike rides from the front door. You are most welcome to bring your dogs with you and there is no extra charge.
Tucked away in a lovely setting, Kings Garn is close to the small New Forest village of Minstead with its pub serving good food, church, village shop and Furzey Gardens - informal gardens open to the public. Minstead is just three miles from Lyndhurst, the 'Capital of the Forest' with a tourist information centre, the New Forest Museum, good selection of shops, tea rooms, cafes and pubs. There are also plenty of attractions to suit all ages in the area including Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, the Reptile Centre, Beaulieu Palace and Motor Museum, Paultons Park, Exbury Gardens and the harbour town of Lymington.
Kings Garn is the ideal holiday base for exploring the wider area. From here you can take day trips over a wide area of Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight. You can also stay locally and enjoy walking, horse riding, bird watching, cycling and golf in the immediate surroundings of the New Forest National Park.

Kings Garn apartment is located on the second floor of this impressive house and is completely self-contained. It sleeps up to four guests in three bedrooms and affords its own private entrance and staircase.
Outside: Guests have access to the grounds and are welcome to use the tennis court. There is a table with chairs in the garden for guests use and the only area of the grounds restricted from guests is the area immediately surrounding the front of the house.
Additional information: Unfortunately the property is not suitable for people with limited mobility. All bed linen and towels are provided and guests have the choice of either duvets or blankets. There is parking for two cars and a lock-up space for storing bicycles, etc.
Payment details/deposit: A deposit, additional to the full payment, is taken at the time of booking to secure the week you require, and will be held by the owner against breakages, late departure or not leaving the property as it was found on arrival. A cheque for the full refund will be sent to you within a week of your departure subject to meeting the requirements of the deposit. Full payment of the holiday rental is required 10 weeks prior to the holiday date. The electricity is metered and charged for separately at the end of the holiday, this is payable in cash.
