Waterfront House enjoys a fabulous waterside position and accommodates up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms. With the New Forest close by, guests can enjoy the best of both worlds with wonderful forest walks, wildlife and plenty of sea air!
Available for renting between Spring and the end of Autumn, one to three week bookings are accepted by the owners of this welcoming holiday home which sits in the historic waterfront town of Hythe on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park.
Ideally located in the desirable Heritage Area of Hythe, Waterfront House looks over Southampton Water and has the towns many attractions within strolling distance, including eateries for those who want a night off cooking, shops and the Victorian Pier. Hop on the little train for a nostalgic trip to the end of the pier where you can catch the ferry to Southampton.
Easily accessible, Hythe is well connected being just ten miles from the M27 and just over an hour from London by train from Southampton (eighty minutes and a regular service). Leave the car at home and discover the many attractions and delights the local area has to offer including oyster catchers and boats bobbing on the water; or get out and about exploring the wider area by car - there are no end of day trips out if you can tear yourself away from the tranquility of Waterfront House.
The National Park is only three miles from Hythe with miles of forest trails to explore by bike, foot or horseback. Picturesque quintessentially English villages pepper the forest with pretty thatched cottages and traditional inns providing places for a long lazy lunch after an outdoor adventure. There are also a broad range of attractions such as Beaulieu with its famous Motor Museum, Buckler's Hard steeped in maritime history and Exbury Gardens.
For those who enjoy being outdoors, hire a bike and get up close to nature or a hire a canoe at Calshot (six miles away) and paddle (alternatively sail or swim). Lepe Country Park is equally as close with a beach where you can relax, walking trails and plenty of bird spotting opportunities.
Also within easy reach via ferry from Hythe Pier is Southampton. You can also visit the Isle of Wight or drive to Bournemouth, Winchester or Salisbury (all within an hour).
Whether your ideal holiday involves relaxing by the water, or getting out and about exploring, Waterfront House is a welcoming retreat in a fabulous location.

Additional information: Bed linen and towels are provided and included in the price. No smoking. Unfortunately no pets or children under the age of ten. One to three week bookings are available from March to November inclusive (the rest of the year is normally not available due to maintenance work). Saturday changeover day offered at all other rental times. For those who want to bring a dinghy or light water craft (small boat, kayak or canoe), there is a slipway at the local marina.
