Mary's Barn provides a warm welcome and is a spacious traditional barn conversion, sleeping up to four guests, ideally located in the Hampshire village of Minstead in the very heart of the New Forest National Park.
With lots of character, Mary's Barn is very spacious and tastefully furnished, providing a comfortable retreat all year round that is ideally placed for discovering the many attractions of the national park. Whilst enjoying a peaceful position within the grounds of the owners' thatched cottage, this characterful retreat is ideal for couples and families at any time of the year.
The surrounding area has immense appeal for those who enjoy outdoor activities with miles and miles of forest tracks and heathland to explore by foot, bike or horse back. Set off on foot from the barn where you can access forest walks within five minutes at Acres Down, or wander into Minstead and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the Trusty Servant village pub, just half a mile away. There is also a shop for stocking up on provisions with tea room on the village green. The farm shop at Acres Down also serves cream teas in the summer months - the perfect treat after a long walk!
Just three miles away is Lyndhurst, the 'Capital of the Forest' with a great range of shops, eating establishments, and a tourist information office and museum to help you plan your holiday (why not take a bus tour from here to see the local sights?). The Georgian market town of Lymington is a half hour drive and offers a good range of shops (both independents and high street names), plenty of places to enjoy a meal out, an excellent Saturday market and the ferry to visit the Isle of Wight for the day. Beaulieu with its famous motor museum and nearby Bucklers Hard are also within easy reach by car, as is the coast for those who fancy a day on the beach. Slightly further afield, but still within an hour's drive are Salisbury with its beautiful cathedral and historic Winchester.
