About Ten Ocean Reach

Ten Ocean Reach is perched above Hope Cove, providing guests with sensational views from the living room and balcony. The first-floor apartment is part of the prestigious Ocean Reach development that consists of three superb self-catering properties and an excellent bar and restaurant. Ocean Reach is on Bolberry Down in the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to beaches and the South West Coast Path. With one-bedroom and an open-plan living area, Ten Ocean Reach is perfect for couples or individuals, including those who want to bring their dogs on holiday.

Bolberry Down will take your breath away. This quiet corner of South Devon is in the care of the National Trust, who protect and preserve its beauty for everyone to enjoy. From the apartment, you can use the South West Coast Path to walk to Hope Cove, where there is a village shop, post office and a friendly pub, and beaches at South Milton Sands and Bantham. Alternatively, walk east to Soar Mill Cove and continue until you reach Salcombe. The circular footpath at Bolberry is tarmacked for accessibility, meaning that you can enjoy the experience in any weather without having to worry about getting wet or muddy feet. Another destination to add to your itinerary is Bolt Tail, where the remains of an Iron Age fort perch on the headland, overlooking a rocky stretch of coast which has surprised many unwary ships over the centuries.

Apart from the village shop in Hope Cove, the nearest place to buy food for your self-catering stay is in Malborough, where there is a well-stocked supermarket. Many guests choose to shop in Kingsbridge, a nearby market town on an estuary with picturesque historic buildings, a wider variety of shops and museums, and a vibrant farmers' market on the first and third Saturday of every month. Other towns to consider for shopping, sightseeing and eating out include Salcombe, Totnes and Dartmouth. Plymouth and Torquay are both within an hour's drive, while the southern border of Dartmoor National Park is even closer.

Ten Ocean Reach is a first-floor apartment with an exceptional standard of finishing and furnishing. It has its own entrance on the ground floor.

  • A flight of stairs leads from the ground floor into the bright and welcoming living space where tall windows and a glass door look out onto the cliff and towards the ocean. The choice of wooden flooring and predominantly white walls works as the perfect backdrop to the seaside location.
  • Seating space with a double sofa and an armchair positioned so guests can either look at the view or watch the TV, which has a DVD player and Freeview channels. The owners have also provided a choice of books as well as information about the local area to help guests plan their outings.
  • Stylish glass dining table with four chairs so you can have friends around for dinner.
  • Contemporary kitchen well-equipped for self-catering with cupboards stocked with equipment and utensils. The owners provide a welcome pack so that guests (and dogs!) can settle in with a drink as soon as they arrive.
  • Huge bedroom with fantastic views, a kingsize bed and proper storage.
  • Tiled shower room with a corner shower, heated towel rail, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The apartment has a balcony with a toughened glass balustrade to ensure uninterrupted views even when sitting down. There is an outdoor table and chairs, and guests love to sit there in the evening and watch the sunset. Guests have allocated parking.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are all included, with guests to supply beach towels if they are required. Well-behaved pets are welcome with prior agreement from the owner. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. No smoking.
