About Nine Ocean Reach

Nine Ocean Reach is a stunning holiday home in a spectacular location. The architect-designed property boasts an exceptionally high standard of accommodation together with breathtaking ocean views to give you an unforgettable holiday experience. The ground floor apartment sleeps up to four people and is perfect for couples, solo travellers or young families. It is within a short stroll of Thirty Three by the Sea Ocean Reach's Bar and Restaurant and close to the South West Coast Path and the beautiful beaches of South Hams.

Bolberry Down is captivating. Expertly managed by the National Trust to preserve its beauty for future generations, it is a favourite place for a walk with an accessible path that is suitable for walkers and cyclists. Follow the trail to Overbeck's and Salcombe, or head west towards South Milton Sands and Hope Cove. While you're there, wander up to Bolt Tail for incredible views down onto the rocks which have been the downfall of many ships over the centuries. Surfing, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle-boarding are all popular, with equipment hire and lessons available locally for those who need them.

You're not limited to the mainland when you stay at Nine Ocean Reach. There is a passenger ferry from nearby Bantham to Bigbury, from where you can take the quirky ocean tractor to Burgh Island. The island is also accessible on foot at low tide and was a favourite holiday escape for Agatha Christie.

Pick up supplies for your self-catering stay in the nearby village of Malborough where there is a small supermarket as well as a petrol station, post office and farm shop. Hope Cove has a village shop, post office and a welcoming pub, while Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Totnes are all within easy reach if you prefer a wider variety of places to eat, drink and shop, while Dartmouth and Plymouth are about 20 miles away and close enough for a fun day out.

The owners of Ocean Reach have created Nine Ocean Reach and its two sister properties with the sole focus of ensuring their guests enjoy the highest standard of comfort so that they can relax and enjoy precious time away from busy lives.

All three of the properties at Ocean Reach have been carefully designed and furnished with the comfort of guests in mind. Accommodation at Nine Ocean Reach is all on the ground floor level and is dog-friendly. The property has underfloor heating and WiFi throughout.

  • Open the front door and step into a light, open-plan living area with hardwood floors and a huge window and glass door that frame the fantastic views.
  • Living area with a three-seater sofa and an armchair positioned where you can watch the sunset over the ocean. The large flatscreen TV has a DVD player and Freeview channels. The owner has thoughtfully provided a selection of books and information about the local area so that guests can plan their days.
  • Contemporary kitchen with quality appliances that include a dishwasher and a microwave. Guests can also expect a welcome pack that includes tea, coffee, sugar and milk as well as a handy, hessian bag. Four-legged guests also receive their own welcome pack!
  • Bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables with reading lights and a dressing table.
  • Tiled bathroom with a big corner shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: Nine Ocean Reach has a secure private garden with a level area of lawn and a paved terrace with a table and chairs where guests can sit with a cold drink and watch the sunset over the water. There is allocated off-street parking.

Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and bath towels are included. Guests to provide beach towels if they are necessary. Short breaks are possible, depending on availability. No smoking.
