North Hill Holiday Cottages offers the chance to enjoy peace and tranquility amongst Devon's beautiful undulating countryside. With excellent on-site facilities that include an indoor pool, tennis, hot tub and games room, guests have ten holiday cottages to choose from and plenty of outdoor space and fresh air to enjoy. A popular choice for couples, friends, dog owners and families, the cottages are beautifully presented with the owners personally managing them to ensure guests have a warm welcome and enjoyable stay.
Whilst the cottages are close to the amenities of Barnstaple, they sit in a peaceful haven and offer all the right ingredients for a relaxing holiday. Enjoy swimming in the indoor pool which is heated to approximately 27 degrees throughout the year, play tennis on the all-weather court, relax in the sauna and hot tub, or lace up your walking boots and explore the countryside on the doorstep.
For those who can tear themselves away from this oasis of tranquility, there are plenty of attractions within easy driving distance. The Exmoor National Park is within easy reach by car and offers a beautiful vast playground for a host of water and land-based activities. Head to the golden sandy beaches out west for a day by the sea at Westward Ho! Croyde, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe or find your own low tide rocky cove to explore in the North - the choice is endless. Hike the South West Coastal Path or try the Tarka Trail for family cycling fun.
The vibrant market town of Barnstaple is just five miles from the cottages and offers a good choice of shops, places for a meal out and bike hire.
Whether you plan to spend your days exploring the countryside, visiting country houses and gardens, surfing, kite surfing or coasteering, or simply taking the little ones to award winning attractions such as the Big Sheep and Milky Way, the choice is endless with plenty to occupy the hottest or wettest of days.

All cottages are well equipped, are heated and with log burning stoves are ideal for Autumn / winter breaks as well as a proper summer getaway. Set amongst eight acres of grounds, there is plenty of outside space for when the sun shines with lawns where children can let off steam, a play area and fields, all weather tennis court for those who like to keep active and an indoor games room for inclement weather.
The 11m indoor swimming pool (with separate toddler pool) with a changing room, WC and shower, is heated to a comfortable 26-28°C) and there is also a hot tub and sauna.
All kitchens have full size cookers, fridges (including freezers) and microwaves and there is a communal laundry room available on site. Sitting rooms have comfy seating, televisions/DVD players and there is WiFi internet access to keep you in touch with the outside world.

Additional information: Two dogs welcome. The nearest pub is just two miles away (Muddiford Inn) and the town of Barnstaple with a range of restaurants and cafes is 5miles away. Travel cot and high chair available (please bring your own bedding for the cot). Short breaks available outside of peak times. A welcome basket of logs is provided and additional logs can be purchased on-site. Heating is included in the price from the 15th September to 30th April, between the hours of 06:00-09:00 and 16:00-10:30. Outside of these times, should you require heating an additional charge applies.
