About Robin Cottage

Robin Cottage is part of a restored mill in one of England's most picturesque villages. The romantic holiday cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water is conveniently central, pet-friendly, and has beautiful views. Imagine waking each morning to the knowledge that you're not merely passing through this gorgeous spot but able to stay and immerse yourself in its charm, enjoying the peace of having the tranquil riverside to yourself in the morning and evening and the hum of excited day-trippers who flock to enjoy its plentiful attractions. The self-catering holiday property is perfect for couples or small families as it comfortably sleeps two in a double bedroom, accommodating two more guests on a sofa bed in the living room.

Bourton-on-the-Water is arguably the prettiest of all Cotswold villages. A location on the bank of River Windrush has led to the nickname "The Venice of the Cotswolds". Attractive golden stone buildings house shops, tea rooms, restaurants, and cafes, all within a few moments' walk from Robin Cottage. Given its diminutive stature, Bourton-on-the-Water has many popular attractions, including Birdland Park and Gardens, the Cotswold Motoring and Toy Museum, and a model village that has fascinated visitors of all ages for generations. Nearby are the Hawkstone Brewery, Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre for pony treks, and Greystones Nature Reserves.

The Cotswolds are a joy to explore. No matter the season, you'll find a footpath, cycling route, or road to delight. Bourton is only 1.5 miles from Lower Slaughter via a trail that crosses the Roman Fosse Way and follows the River Eye. There's a 5.5-mile circular route taking in both Upper and Lower Slaughter and another walk via the Oxfordshire Way to the water meadows and village of Wyck Rissington. Bring or hire a bicycle to see even more of the countryside, or arrange to tour in a vintage car. The opportunities are endlessly beautiful, no matter how you explore.

Robin Cottage is one of four newly-refurbished one-bedroom holiday cottages in the former water mill. Depending on availability, they can be booked together which is ideal if you're planning a walking holiday in the Cotswolds with your extended family or friends.
