The Old Piggery is a true forest holiday retreat that is located on a peaceful, beautiful three acre smallholding, providing an ideal getaway for both couples and families.
Located just outside the village of East Boldre, The Old Piggery affords direct forest access and is an ideal place from which to explore this peaceful and very untouched part of the New Forest, with its miles of walking, horse-riding and cycling. It also benefits from being just one and a half miles from the Solent Coastline.
There are several local pubs that serve excellent food within a short drive or walk away (approximately one mile) and a post office and garage in East Boldre Village. The Georgian Market town of Lymington is just five miles away with its restaurants, marina’s, cobbled quay, boutique shops and Saturday Market. From here you can also take the car ferry to the Isle of Wight.
The historic village of Beaulieu is also just five miles away and home to the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House. There is a picturesque river walk from here to the 18th Century Hamlet of Bucklers Hard.
Cycling is a great way to explore the forest and bike hire is available from the nearby villages of Beaulieu and Brockenhurst, or if you would like to explore the New Forest on Horseback there are riding stables at Burley and Brockenhurst.
There are several swimming beaches that are a short drive away and Milford on Sea, Highcliffe and Avon Beach are all within a half hour drive.

The Old Piggery is a well appointed, light and airy, two bedroom detached barn style holiday home that is part of a three acre smallholding alongside Coronation Cottage, where the owners, with their children live all year round. It enjoys a peaceful location with its own south and west facing patio and garden area.

Large open plan living and dining area with beams and wood burning stove. A large comfy sofa, occasional tables, flat screen television with free view channels, DVD, CD player, iPod docking station, wireless internet connection and dining table seating four are provided. There is hardwood flooring throughout leading into the kitchen.
Fully fitted oak kitchen with four ring electric hob and full sized oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and all utensils needed for a comfortable stay.
Fully tiled shower room with power shower, WC and sink, small airing cupboard, window looking onto the stable yard, and paddocks beyond.
Double bedroom with bedside tables, lamps and tallboy. There is a window overlooking the south part of private garden area.
Single/twin bedroom with a single bed with guest bed underneath. There is a chest of drawers and window overlooking the paddocks/yard.
Outside area: The French doors open out onto a brick built patio area and garden which is screened by willow fencing, trees and shrubs from the owners garden giving you plenty of privacy. Garden table, chairs and BBQ are provided. Bike/windsurf/dinghy storage available if required. Off-Road parking.
Additional information: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring beach towels). The accommodation is part of a smallholding and there is a small number of animals (chickens, goats, pigs, horses and cats). The owners grow their own vegetables, and if there are enough available, are happy to sell you free range eggs and vegetables.
