Outside, you'll find a sunny enclosed patio with a table and chairs ideal for al fresco meals or simply soaking up the quiet surroundings. Guests love the relaxing atmosphere, the thoughtful touches (like breakfast essentials and Netflix), and the welcome mix of forest walks and village comforts just minutes away.
Open the gate and stroll straight into the open forest where wild ponies and donkeys roam freely. The New Forest National Park is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with popular routes leading to nearby Brockenhurst, Whitefield Moor, and the Ornamental Drive. Just a short drive away, Lymington offers independent shops, a vibrant Saturday market, and boat trips from the quay. Explore the maritime history at Beaulieu, wander the streets of Lyndhurst, or enjoy afternoon tea in one of the New Forest's many traditional tearooms. After a day of exploring, the Hare and Hounds—a highly rated local pub just ten minutes away on foot—is a perfect spot for a cosy dinner.
The coast is easily reached by car, with Milford-on-Sea, Barton-on-Sea, and the Solent Way coastal path all less than 20 minutes away. If you're up for a day trip, take the ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Guests often mention how quiet and restful Chapel Lodge is—just the place to unwind, reset and enjoy nature. It's also equipped with a hot and cold dog shower, so muddy paws are easily sorted after a forest walk. For a group getaway, Chapel Lodge can be booked alongside The Old Chapel (sleeps 4) and Chapel End (sleeps 2), which are both just across the courtyard.

Chapel Lodge is a private and peaceful studio cottage for two, tucked in a quiet corner of a New Forest courtyard—perfect for couples seeking rest and comfort. A travel cot is available on request.
Outside: Chapel Lodge has it’s own hot and cold dog shower and there is additional bench seating in the shared courtyard. There is off-street parking a few metres from the door.
Additional Information: WiFi, utilities, bed linen and bath towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome @ £16 per stay. Please bring your dog’s towel and bed. No smoking. Travel cot and high chair are available on request. We also charge a one off cleaning fee of £40.
