Green Shutters is so fantastic that you will fall in love with it the minute you arrive. Guests enjoy a superb position just meters from Saundersfoot beach with panoramic views. A leisurely five-minute stroll along The Strand will take you to the town's shops, cafes and welcoming pubs like the popular HARBWR, or walk in the other direction to the fantastic Coast restaurant which overlooks the water. The holiday house can accommodate up to six people in three spacious bedrooms, with a dog-friendly garden and loads of space to enjoy being with your favourite people.
Saundersfoot is the type of destination where families return generation after generation for a traditional beach holiday with all the trimmings. Everyone from grandparents down to toddlers adores it here. If you want a simple seaside stay with days spent building sandcastles and licking dripping ice-cream, then you'll find it here. Alternatively, if you're after a romantic escape where you can enjoy delicious food and fantastic views, then Saundersfoot can deliver that as well.
There are so many ways to enjoy everything Saundersfoot has to offer. The beach isn't only for paddling and poking around in rockpools. There is also a slipway where you can launch a boat or your canoe. Visitors can go sailing or windsurfing, fish from a boat or the beach, or learn to surf or paddleboard.
Saundersfoot is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and there are some stunning walks and cycling routes. You can walk the four miles between Saundersfoot Harbour and the seaside resort of Tenby via the Pembrokeshire Coast Footpath, with a regular bus service to take you back if you don't fancy the return journey. An alternative walk is to follow the coast path from the cottage, in the opposite direction passing Coppit Hall beach to Wisemans Bridge, walking through the historic coal train tunnels and on to Amroth where the soldiers practised for the 1944 D Day landings.
Local attractions include Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, The Reptile Experience, and the Saundersfoot Sea Safari tour. Tenby is lovely for a wander, though driving there in high summer can get hectic and parking is difficult. Pembroke Castle is 20-minutes from Green Shutters, and the birthplace of Henry VII, and you'll want to arrive at Narbeth's Friday market with a full wallet and an empty stomach for all the delicious goodies on sale.
Green Shutters was made for families and is a wonderful place where you can forget about the demands of work and your daily routine and spend quality time with the people you love the most.
