About Ocean View - Ground Floor Cottage Apartment

Ocean View sits on the ground floor of Cambrian House and enjoys an elevated position in Little Haven with incredible views over the village and St Bride's Bay. The two-bedroom holiday apartment is just a few minutes walk from beaches, shops and welcoming pubs like the St Bride's Inn. It easily sleeps up to four people with a flexible layout that suits couples, families and friends. Everything you need for a wonderful holiday - including the magnificent Pembrokeshire Coast Path - is accessible from the door.

Little Haven is a highly desirable holiday destination thanks to its stunning beaches and laid back feel. Protected as part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the village and unspoiled landscape would be recognisable to someone who stayed here 60 years ago. Indeed, many visitors to the village have been spending their holidays here for generations. The beach is about a five-minute walk from the apartment, with calm water perfect for swimming, paddleboarding and kayaking. There is also a slipway for launching boats. The beach is a small cove at high tide but expands dramatically at low tide when it's possible to walk along the sand to neighbouring Broad Haven beach.

Broad Haven is bigger than Little Haven and offers more amenities. If you want to get there during high tide, then it's a simple matter of walking half a mile along the coastal footpath, jumping on your bicycle, or hopping in the car for a very short drive. In addition to a few extra shops and places to eat, Broad Haven also has a place to hire surfboards and paddleboards, and where you can also arrange tuition if you want to learn to surf. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path stretches for 186 glorious miles of Welsh coastline, with a regular bus service (the Puffin Shuttle) to make it easier to explore. From the apartment, you can walk north to Broad Haven to Druidston and Nolton Haven, or south to Mill Haven and St Brides, returning on the number 400 bus if you prefer not to walk both ways.

Day trips can include taking a boat to Skomer, Skokholm or Grassholm Islands to see the seals, puffins and other marine birds and wildlife that thrive in these incredibly beautiful conditions. Spend a leisurely day in St David's, admiring the magnificent cathedral and browsing shops and galleries after a delicious lunch or coffee at one of the town's excellent cafes. Children love Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo. This popular attraction has grown from a family-run farm to a respected participant in the preservation of the Eastern Black Rhino, amongst other more exotic animal species. Go crabbing from the harbour walls in Solva, or set up for the day on the apartment's terrace with a good book and your favourite drink and enjoy the view.

Cambrian House is a traditional Welsh stone cottage that has been carefully restored and converted into two fully private and self-contained apartments (The Lookout, the first floor apartment, will be available from 2022). Ocean View (ground floor apartment) is available for short breaks and longer stays all year round.

The self-catering ground-floor apartment is entirely private and self-contained with its own entrance. Accommodation is all on one level with solid tiled and vinyl floors and original beams.

  • While you'll enjoy spending the long summer evenings on the terrace, you'll love the warmth of the log burner in the living room in winter, complemented by views of the sea. There is plenty of comfortable seating (as well as deep window sills allowing you to sit and soak up the views of the village and sea), a TV (with Freeview channels), and the apartment has WiFi throughout (this is with Roku so if you have your own accounts with Netflix, NowTV etc, you can login and watch it).
  • Linger over meals at the pine table in the kitchen/diner, which is very well equipped for self-catering with modern appliances and ample space to prepare meals and store food.
  • Master bedroom with a king size bed and beautiful views of the valley.
  • Second bedroom with zip-link beds either set up as two single beds or one king, to suit your needs. Please let the owner know your preferred layout when booking.
  • Contemporary tiled bathroom with a shower over the bath, a handbasin with storage beneath and a WC.

Outside: Guests have shared use of a big sun terrace which has a table, chairs and a kettle barbecue, as well as space to hang wetsuits to dry. A toughened glass balustrade ensures that the sea views are uninterrupted.
