Crofta Cottage is a charming detached holiday cottage in the pretty village of Little Haven in the Pembrokeshire National Park. There is plenty of space both indoors and outside, including three relaxing bedrooms that can sleep up to six guests in comfort. Families and friends love the cottage not only for the high standard of accommodation but also for its location that is within 100 metres of the beach and within walking distance of shops, cafes and three friendly pubs including The Swan.
Little Haven is a place where people return for their holidays year after year, generation after generation. It has all of the charms of a traditional seaside holiday resort without suffering from the crowds or traffic that some beaches struggle with during summer and school holidays. The beach is ideal for swimming, and there is also a slipway for launching a boat if you have one. Kids love to explore the rock pools at low tide when it's also possible to walk along the sand to the Settlands, or neighbouring Broad Haven, walking back along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at high tide.
Little Haven may have a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere but it is not backwards. In addition to three pubs, the village has a cafe, gallery, lifeboat station, and a restaurant. All of your shopping needs are met easily in Broad Haven, which is just a few minutes by car or a leisurely cycle from the cottage and has a well-stocked village store, several pubs, a fish and chip shop, and a surf-school where you can also hire equipment. Alternatively, Haverfordwest is seven miles away with supermarkets, a museum, and a weekly farmers' market held every Friday morning.
You dream holiday by the sea may involve nothing more strenuous than lazy days sat in a deckchair on the beach or sunning yourself in the garden. However, those who enjoy being active will love having the Pembroke Coast Path a short stroll from the cottage, stretching for 186 miles from Amroth in the south, all the way up to St Dogmaels. The footpath is fantastic for spotting migrating birds in spring and autumn as well as for its panoramic views. Surfing, sailing, coasteering, kayaking and fishing are just a few of many ways to enjoy this seaside location, or book a seat on one of the boat safaris that leave from nearby Dale or Milford Haven. Britain's smallest city, St David's, is a lovely spot for a day out as it has an impressive cathedral, shops, galleries, cafes and pubs. 35-minutes from the cottage by car, Folly Farm is a year-round favourite with families, while the market and independent cafes in Narbeth are popular with foodies.
Crofta Cottage is perfect for your next holiday. The cottage is spacious and light, yet with a cosy feeling that makes guests feel welcome as soon as they cross the threshold. It is a beautiful place to relax and unwind with the people you love the most.
