Sarah’s Cottage sits right on the coast at Musselwick, directly on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with its own private path to the shore. Made from three old fishermen’s cottages from around 1750, the holiday house feels genuinely historic and appeals to families and mixed groups who enjoy surfing, sailing, and hiking along spectacular footpaths. The garden is just above the water and catches the evening sun as it sets behind the headland. The changing tide sets the pace of each day. When the tide is low, you can walk along the shore to Dale in about twenty minutes, so the Griffin Inn and Boathouse Café are easy to reach without needing to drive.
Inside, the cottage keeps its original charm while offering everything a modern family needs. The sitting room has a deep inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, making it a cosy spot after a windy walk or a day at the beach. The large dining room is perfect for meals, board games, and the fun of family holidays. The kitchen is fully equipped for real self-catering. Upstairs, there are four bedrooms with a mix of double and twin beds. Some rooms have sea views, and the layout suits families of all ages.
The shoreline just below the garden is always interesting, especially for children. There are shingle, rock pools, and sandy spots where you can find crabs, mussels, and other sea life. The bay faces southwest, so it’s often calm when the weather is good. Beyond Musselwick, this part of Pembrokeshire has a lot to offer. Dale is popular for sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing, and nearby beaches like Westdale Bay and Marloes Sands are great for walking and exploring. You can also visit St Davids, the Preseli Hills, or take a boat trip to Skomer Island—all without a long drive. This cottage is ideal for guests who want to be close to nature and enjoy the coast at a leisurely pace.
