The area is a haven for wildlife and offers wonderful clear starry skies of a night that are not affected by the pollution of light.
Formerly a farm building, Spennithorne Cottage is presented to a high standard of comfort and style and has received a 4 star gold rating from VisitBritain. It sits within the extensive grounds of High Green Farm, extending to some seven acres nestling amidst rolling farmland.
This is a perfect base for walking the many local and long distance footpaths; cycling the pretty little country lanes; bird watching at the RSPB and NWT nature reserves on the coast, or exploring the areas abundance of attractions.
The small village of Stanfield with its 12th century church is close to the towns of Dereham, Swaffham and Fakenham, each with a weekly market and good selection of shops and amenities. A wide range of produce is also available from local farm shops.
The North Norfolk coast, Norwich and Kings Lynn are less than twenty miles away and The Norfolk Broads, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge are too within easy reach.

North Norfolk has something for everyone at any time of the year. The coast and countryside offer areas of outstanding natural beauty and diversity. There are many acres of woodland, parks and gardens that are open to the public including Pensthorpe near Fakenham with its nature trails and wooded walks where you will see the best of British wildlife; along with several important bird reserves in the area. Other attractions include sites of historical interest, working farms, craft centres and workshops, steam railways and a wide range of museums, galleries and collections.

Set well back from a quiet country lane and tastefully furnished, the holiday accommodation is all on one level, non smoking and benefits from central heating throughout via radiators.
Outside: High Green Farm's grounds are enclosed and private offering guests plenty of space to explore and relax. With a sunny aspect all day, the gardens are beautifully manicured including wonderful flower beds, a large fish pond and a number of paths that allow you to wander around the fields, natural pond and orchard where seats have been placed. There is also an area for outside games (badminton, volley ball and boules are provided).
Additional information: There is storage for bicycles or other equipment. Barbecue and garden furniture are provided for dining and relaxing outdoors. The cottage has dedicated parking for two vehicles. A Welcome Pack of basic items is provided and the owners are also happy to shop for you prior to your arrival by arrangement. Prices are for the property and include heating, electricity, bed linen and towels. Discounts for couples during the off peak season and short breaks in the peak season may be possible - please enquire with the owner.
Accessibility: For those with limited mobility and wheelchair users, please note that the property is single level with no steps and the bedroom wetroom is wheelchair accessible.
