Bluebell Copse Cottages is a blissful bolthole set in 70 glorious acres half a mile from The Compass Inn in Winsor in the New Forest National Park. It's a wonderful place where you, your family and your friends can escape the hurried pressures of daily life. Revel in long days full of beautiful views, delicious food, leisurely walks, scenic bike rides through the countryside, and fun attractions to suit all interests. The three-bedroom property sleeps six people and is on a mixed farm that has been in the owner's family for generations. They have transformed a traditional barn into a stylish self-catering holiday cottage with environmentally friendly features, high-quality fixtures, luxurious furnishings, and a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere that will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalised.
Winsor is a lovely residential community in the north of the New Forest. As well as a friendly pub, it has a family-run butcher and a farm shop. It's less than a mile from Cadnam, where there is a small supermarket and another good pub, and a ten-minute drive from Totton's supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and shops. You can order groceries from Tesco, Asda and Morrisons for delivery after your arrival if it's more convenient. Still, we recommend at least one visit to Tatchbury Farm Shop in Winsor for their scrumptious award-winning pies. There are also shops and amenities 10 minutes away in Lyndhurst.
For all its rustic appeal, Winsor is convenient for the M27, which makes getting here and exploring nice and easy. Families with young children love that the cottage is barely a ten-minute drive from Paultons Park and Peppa Pig World. You're also only 20 minutes from the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, 20 minutes from Southampton, 25 minutes from Bucklers Hard, and half an hour from Lymington and the ferry to the Isle of Wight.
The New Forest has a timeless appeal where children, donkeys, ponies and cattle roam freely, and children can enjoy the same activities as their grandparents and great-grandparents. There are more than 140 miles of footpaths and 100 miles of waymarked cycling routes to help you explore the forest, villages and coast. You can play golf, go kayaking along the river, splash around at the New Forest Water Park and take a scenic bus tour.
Bluebell Copse is available all year round for holiday bookings.
