Treat yourself to a last minute break

Many independent cottage owners offer a great level of flexibility all year round, including short breaks from as little as one night or longer city breaks. But we don't always have the luxury of time, so we're here to help with some great discounts for last minute holidays. Whether you are looking for pet friendly accommodation for a walking weekend break with your dog; seeking a luxury 'bolt-hole' for two for a surprise romantic break; or require a big property for a last minute UK break with friends or a family holiday, we have a great selection of last minute offers to cater for every occasion.

When it comes to UK breaks, two of our most popular areas are Cornwall and Cotswolds last minute cottages, but we have last minute holiday deals and offers all over the UK. Whatever the time of year, there's sure to be a late availability offer just waiting to be booked.

Our best last minute holiday tips

  • Find out exactly what is included in the price to ensure cheap last minute deals are as good as you think they are.
  • If you can be flexible, you may get a better deal on a mid-week break rather than late deals on weekends.
  • Popular pubs and restaurants often get booked up over the weekend, so do a little research (or ask the owner for recommendations) and pre-book in advance (or at least as far in advance as you possibly can for a last minute holiday!)
  • Keep packing to a minimum (particularly if you are arriving on public transport!) so find out what facilities are provided in the cottage to save extra baggage (for example hairdryers, cot/high chair, bed linen and towels). It is also worth checking if any extra welcome goodies are provided such as a tea tray or bottle of wine to enjoy when you arrive. If not, take your own with you or find out where the nearest shop is (and check opening times).
  • To get the most enjoyment out of your stay, do some research in advance and put together your 'bucket list' of everything you want on your last minute break.
